My father was transported by this company, and instead of billing my father, they sent bills directly to a collection agency. They sent no bills, no late notices, nothing. Have called their billing department several times and left messages and have received zero responses or call backs. Very poor business practice and the FTC should be putting a hault to this. I left a complaint to Revdex.com and hope others do the same when treated unfairly.

Don't EVER USE this company. Took a relative to a doctor appointment and he fell off the bed. No incident report, no one called to say anything, and then attitude when we called to see what happened. They dropped another patient as well in the same nursing home.

Review: My father was transported to a Rehab facility from St. Elizabeth Hospital by Life Fleet Ambulance on 12/13/13. My father has since passed away, however I have been handling all of his mail and his estate. Life Fleet never sent any letter or bill to my father for this ambulance transport yet I received a letter on June 19, 2014 from a collection agency stating that Life Fleet had contracted with a recovery services to handle my father's delinquent account. The account was listed as having a balance of $545.00. I attempted to call Life Fleet multiple times and left voice messages with no return calls. I then called the recovery service and informed them that Life Fleet had never notified my father of a bill and that he has since passed away. The recovery company contacted Life Fleet and found that Life Fleet had never billed Medicare nor my dad's supplement Insurance for the ambulance transport, yet sent my father's account to collection. The collection agency took my father's insurance information and provided it to Life Fleet although Life Fleet had the information as they had already billed for another ambulance transport for my father and was paid. I sent a letter dated June 29th, 2014 to the collection agency as well. I received another letter from the collection agency dated 7/22/14 for this same amount as a delinquent account. I called the collection agency again 8/5/14 and this issue is still not resolved. Life Fleet told the Collection agency that they have not yet heard back from Medicare. My father is gone but he would be horrified to know that he was turned in for collection for a bill that he was not even made aware of and has Insurance to cover. I wonder how many other older adults are having to deal with the same treatment and are perhaps paying these bills that their insurance should pay just because they are intimidated by the thought of being contacted by a collection agency. This is a very poor business practice.Desired Settlement: I would like a response as to why they turn accounts over to collection without notification of an account balance and why they are not billing Insurance first. I would like a response from Life Fleet as to why they did not return my calls. I also would like a Letter from Life Fleet noting that my father's account is settled.

My father too was transported by this company and Lifefleet did the exact same thing, instead of billing him, they sent bills directly to a collection agency. I filed a complaint with Revdex.com and in a waiting period for a response but Lifefleet did not respond to any of my several calls in regards to this matter. What a terrible way to do business, if you can even call it that!
