Review: On 11/*/13 I was transferred from Southampton Hospital to The Hamptons Cnt Rehab & Nursing facility. The transfer charge was $40.00. While I was in rehab my niece sent check [redacted] on 11/**/13 in the amount of $40.00 to Lifestar. When I got home not knowing my niece sent the payment I sent check [redacted] in the amount of $40.00 to Lifestar. *On 12/**/13 my companion, [redacted] called & spoke w/[redacted] who advised she will call when the 2nd check posts & issue a refund. *On 1/*/14 [redacted] called again & left a message for [redacted]. *On 1/*/14 spoke w/[redacted] and she advised refund should come in 4-6 weeks. *On 2/**/14 [redacted] spoke w/[redacted] and was advised should be any day now. *On 2/**/14 [redacted] left a message for [redacted] & when [redacted] returned the call was advised in system for refund. *On 3/*/14 per [redacted] still in processing. [redacted] then was transferred to Janet who didn't answer so a message was left. *On 3/**/14 [redacted] spoke w/[redacted] again who advised still in processing. *On 3/**/14 [redacted] spoke w/[redacted] again and was told that it's still in processing.Desired Settlement: I would like my $40.00 returned. It has been almost 3 months of calling & it is ridiculous.

Review: In Oct of 2012 Life Star Ambulance company transported myself from South Nassau Hospital to Physical Rehab Center Smithtown Health Care Facility. This was on Oct *, 2012 two days after having a total RIGH HIP REPLACEMENT ! I have repeatedly tried to take my part in resolving a BILL Life Star has been sending to me @ my old address in New York . The Billing Dept. told me that it was because my Insurance Company didn't have enough information about me. I called my insurance company, the repersentive told me NO ITS BECAUSE LIFE STAR HASN'T SEND THEM THE INFORMATION THEY NEED. Once again I called Life Star Billing Dept. and spoke to a person by the name of [redacted] or [redacted] who wouldn't listen to me ! She was rude, nasty and hung up on me more then twice. She thought she know what I was saying and when I spoke loud and clear, she said I will hang up on you if U don't stop yelling ! I wasn't yelling, she just though she was right and couldn't be bothered to help me. I asked to speak to a [redacted], but they leave by 3:30 every day. I have tried so many time to have this bill taken care of and have gotten NO help from the Billing Dept. Life Star Billing Dept. is lazy, nasty, and very rude, extremely unhelpful.Desired Settlement: My desire is to have anyone from Life Star do their job and take proper actions to have my Bill paid. The Billing Dept. shouldn't try to have Patients doing their Job.
