Good morning, my company does the towing for this apartment complex. This is a permit parking only complex. We decided the call to remove all non resident calls Sunday morning. [redacted] requires us to charge $125.00. All cars were released at that price and were cash only. I would be interested to see the receipt were she paid $250.00. As stated our company was called out to tow her car out of her backyard to dealership. Car owner was not there when we arrived. She called after business hours 24 hours after the tow and started she had damage to driveway. I alert the driver to the complaint and had him go back to screen...
and take pictures. The damage in question is a single stepping stone, which I have sent a picture of. It had rained and you can clearly see there are no tire marks around the stone. Also behind this stone is a concrete garden barrier that was not damaged and would have most defiantly been hit. Customer stated her neighbor witness the while event from inside his house. She either demanded $25 For the at most 2.00 stone. Said it was custom made. As you can see from the photo it is a standard stepping stone that can be purchased at any [redacted]. We have cameras on alltrucks and upon review determined we did not stray outside of her driveway, therefore couldn't not have caused the damage to the garden stepping stone. The tow bill was 35.00..which her insurance paid. We feel this is a bogus claim to profit off our company. She made several statements to dispatcher and driver how she couldn't stay she had errands to run. Those errands varied depending on who she was speaking to. She always stated she witnessed it until reminded she said she couldn't be there because of an appointment. That is when the story changed to the neighbor. And lastly she filed no complaint with her insurance company about this who could have opened an investigation and determined damages ,she simply called us and demanded $25. Thank you for you time.
