appreciate an extension due to the letter being mailed to the wrong address and not delivered prior to your deadline.I would also like to respectfully disagree with the claimants account and claims. Lifestyle Cycles is a licensed dealer in good standings with both the Department of Motor Vehicles and Bureau of Automotive Repairs. We have been in business for nearly 20 years and have NEVER had any claims or administrative actions brought against us. We conduct ourselves in a business like manor and expect others to do the same. The claimant's claim that she has "heard before that sometimes they did work that wasn't needed" are false, unsubstantiated and clearly an attempt to slander our company. The claimants motorcycle was brought to Lifestyle Cycles to sold under a California consignment agreement which the company performed. Prior to any motorcycles being offered for sale a complete safety and mechanical inspection is performed to insure the safety and reliability to the purchaser. I do agree thatat one time during the inspection process our service manager mistakenly called her regarding another bike that needed repairs. When he realized his mistake he apologized and called the correct owner toget the oil leak repair authorized. During the inspection process it was found that the brake pads were below legal limits (l don't remember front or rear wheel). The work was authorized; the bike wasoffered for sale and subsequently sold. The cost ofthe repair was $107.52 including parts, labor and sales tax. When the claimant received her payment she began calling obsessively! Her calls were harsh, rude, vulgar making threats and demands to whomever would answer the phone. At the time I was outof town but responded in a timely manner a few days later. She made several threats and her argument was that she needed the money and I should have done the repair for free. In an effort to resolve the issue, I approved a check in the full amount of $107.52 to be sent to her. At this point I believe ourbusiness was complete. At a later date claimant again started with the harassing phone calls, threats anddemands that her check was not sent in a timely manner. She contends that she was not notified of the sale fast enough or in a timely manner but our sales staff disputes that claim. She would like another $150.00 for insurance. She then obtained my personal cell phone number and began calling it.Unfortunately, I am not willing to make any further concessions as I believe we have acted accordingly.Thank You for your attention to this matter!
