Good Morning, After reading the response, Lifestyle Homes stands by the 1st response letter that we sent, We are done with this matterThank you and have a great day

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:We would like to readdress a few things stated by the business owner as well as include a copy of the list of items we reported as needing fixed (some have been completed and others have never been addressed) as well as photosFirst the master bath NEEDED to be retiled as there were tiles that were chipped, miss aligned, grout was thicker in spots, different color, and tiles were not flush as the walls weren't plumbPlease see photosThe texture on the ceiling in the entry way had a hump in it which when the contractor came to look at it told us that it was a shadow and he wouldn't fix itAfter we called the owner of Lifestyle Custom Homes, the contractor came back and made a minute attempt to fix the hump...hump was still extremely visibleThe contractor returned for the 3rd time and "feathered" out the texture per acting field supervisor from Gillette...hump was still visibleWhen 2nd field supervisor came on and we left our home for days, the contractor then came in and retextured the entry way and 1/half of the great room/kitchen...hump is gone after attempts and 1/months! See photosWe were scheduled to be away from our home for days at the end of MayOn the 8th or 9th day of being away, we communicated with the 2nd field supervisor that we would be returning a day early and asked how things were goingNothing was mentioned about the job not being completed or that they might need the extra day to complete it. We have added items(list attached with new items highlighted in red) to the original list as new issues came up after contractors created new issues....paint messes inside and out, concrete splashes, concrete in driveway, shower faucet is scratchedSee photosWhen we done the walk through on this house before closing, there were LOTS of things not completedWe were told by the field supervisor that he would be able to complete all of them before we moved in days later and we also were told by the owner that he knew there were several things unfinished and he would make sure that they were completed in a timely mannerUnfortunately for us that isn't what happened as it was Christmas and everyone was gone for 10-daysAgain whenever a field supervisor and the owner came into our home and we showed the issues at times we said we needed to get our list out to further explain all the issuesThe response we received was "We don't need to see all the issues just mark spots with blue tape and show the contractor and we will get them taken care of". That is exactly what we did, we stopped telling them in every conversation, we just took our list, the blue tape and marked all the issues and waited for the contractorsThere are several issues that have NEVER been addressed...kitchen sink, doors not fitting properly, window seal scuffs, weathering stripping around garage doorsSeptember 30, when the painter and helper came they never had a clear understanding of what they were to do and asked us what needed to be doneWe asked them "who sent you?" to which they replied ________(field supervisor from Gillette) and we then stated that they would need to ask him what he wants them to do as we didn't even know anyone was comingThey questioned us about painting and we replied "we don't know, ask your supervisor"We NEVER asked them to leave, they left stating they would go ask their supervisor and come back. Attached is the original list we created in January along with any additional item we added sinceWe have also attached as many photos as website would allowWe do have more that we would like included. We don't feel we are asking too much by wanting these simple items fixed correctly. As you will see in the photos we have enclosed that they are not good examples of a "custom" home built by a builder with "years" in the business We turned to the Revdex.com as we felt this was our only choice to get our home completed properlyThis has been ongoing for the last months and we want our home complete. We STRONGLY believe there is a communication break down and at this point we would like to hire our own contractor to have these items completed at the expense of Lifestyle Custom Homes.Regards,

[redacted], After I sent our latest response, Ed wanted me to let you know that the pictures sent with the [redacted] response were among the items that have indeed been dealt with and corrected. Lifestyle Homes has taken many steps to complete this home. Please see attached letter. Thank  youOctober 6th, 2015 RE; [redacted] Complaint To whom it may concern:Thank you for the opportunity to provide the other side of this issue. First of all, I am disappointed and deeply saddened that one of my homeowners has felt it necessary to file this...

complaint. I have been building homes for over 30 years and this is the F' time I have ever had this experience. My company takes great pride in the homes we create as well as our follow up after the sale. With regard to this complaint, between various field superintendents and myself we have been inside this client's home on 9 different occasions. I have lost count of how many times various subcontractors have been in this home to do touch ups or make requested repairs. I feel that my company has gone above and beyond what is accepted practice in our industry in our attempt to satisfy this client. A couple of examples; There were misaligned tiles in their master shower, but instead of replacing only the suspect tiles we completely demoed and reinstalled the entire tile shower and tub deck. There was a drywall seam showing though the entry ceiling that the client was still unhappy with after the first repair. As a result I re-skimmed, retextured, and repainted the entire great room ceiling. These 2 items were done in conjunction with the client being away from their home for several days. This is the scenario that is mentioned in my client's complaint when they came home and found their home a mess and the main water shut off. To clarify this situation, the client came home 2 days early, agreeably to a job that was not yet finished because it was still in process. The water was turned off so that nobody mistakenly turned on the shower valve during repairs and potentially cause more damage. A lot of people would be appreciative of that safety measure. These tasks were completed 2 days later on the originally agreed upon date. During the course of our attempts to satisfy this client, over 50% of the "blue tape" marks placed on the drywall and trim by the homeowner had no visible damages or imperfections to repair. When asked what the tape mark was referring to the answer we received on multiple occasions was "I don't know there was something there". It is very hard to fix a nonexistent defect. The ever expanding list of items that is constantly updated by this homeowner is now including nicks, dings & scratches that did not exist during earlier visits, and are clearly the result of living in the home. Two weeks before I received this notice from you, my main superintendent/warranty man was at this client's home to perform final repairs. The superintendent correctly told this client that we would not repair the items that are obviously normal wear and tear from living in the home. The client became very angry and told him that "If he wasn't going to fix every item on her list, then she didn't want him to fix any." He was then asked to leave the home. Also, since I have received your email about this complaint, late last week one of my subcontractors went to this home to do final paint touch ups. I have been told that lie was not allowed to perform the tasks lie had went there to do because the client had found yet another "defect" she wanted repaired. He also was told to leave. It is ironic that someone who would take the time to complain to the Revdex.com about a reputable home builder would not allow that builder's subs to perform the tasks that they are complaining about not being completed, and on multiple occasions. For clarification, this is a production home in a production home community. Further this was a spec home that was under construction and that this client put under contract when the home was nearly complete. I struggle to understand if our quality of workmanship is so substandard to this client, why they purchased it. Again, it was 95% complete and as such was able to be visually inspected prior to purchasing it. Any business owner that deals with the public regardless of their line of work will one day experience a client that cannot be satisfied under any circumstance. This is that client for me. I feel that I have gone above and beyond to make this client happy, but time has proven that this will never happen, As such I am not willing to commit any further time, energy or resources in the attempt to satisfy this homeowner. Thank you again allowing me to give the other side of the story. Lifestyle Custom Homes
