Before completing and finalizing the sale of the vehicle we advise all of our customers that the car they are purchasing is “AS IS “. Upon completions of this sale the customer was showed the *** report were it showed on 05/08/an accident was reported stating “MINOR TO MODERATE FRONT DAMAGE”The customer then signed the *** and still agreed to buy. Also before we list any car for sale we make sure it does pass Virginias safety inspection as the Dodge Dart completed on 09/2/2016. We go above and beyond and even make our customers sign a separate disclosure stating LIFETIME AUTO CONNECTIONS “is not responsible for any damages or defects in relation to unibody, frame damage or any other damage” to ensure the customers understanding. All forms of communications were made to the customer before purchase and all signed documents are on file as well as faxed over. I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I would like to clarify that your business did not meet the core values: trust, integrity, and good salesmanship – putting the customer first. If the core values had been met, we wouldn’t be dealing with this from the start. The issue at hand is that the dealer sold me a car that is unsafe to drive, uninsurable, and cannot be repaired because of fear of liability. The repairs made on the car prior to my purchase were crudely done with fraudulent attempts to mimic authentic manufacturer parts. Furthermore, the car was not properly inspected for the safety inspection since the damage is obviously visible if it had been put on a lift, revealing “SEVERE STRUCTURAL DAMAGE”. I’ve had the dealership and three repair shops tell me that it is unsafe to drive, due to the structural damage. Also, based on the amateur repair that was done on the frame – none of them are willing to do the repairs. I am a college student paying for a car that was never safe to drive from the start. All I ask is that the dealership take the car back and give me a full refund.
