Lifetime Concrete Reviews (2)

Review: In late 2008, Lifetime Concrete came to my home to pour a concrete patio, sidewalk, and rebuild an existing [redacted] unit, complete with custom doors. The patio work was completed promptly, but the custom doors took some time to install – we literally had no [redacted] doors on our [redacted] unit for a matter of weeks. Finally, the doors were installed. Within a year, the hinges on the doors began to rust. Additionally, the doors did not fully seal the [redacted] unit, so outside water was entering the [redacted] area. A phone call was made to Lifetime Concrete. The owner assured me they would come and look at the unit and make any fixes necessary. This never happened. Over the course of 2 years, the condition of the hinges on the doors worsened, and they eventually broke off. During this time, countless calls were made to Lifetime Concrete. These calls were either ignored (voicemails – no return calls), or answered with the same response, “I will have to talk with my metal guy,” “I need to open your file and take a look,” “I will get back to you.” Basically, kicking the can down the curb for months at a time. During one conversation, the owner of Lifetime Concrete actually said, in his own words, “The door was not made properly, as the hinges were not built to support the weight of the door.” Great....flawed work, now please come and correct it because the door can literally be lifted off the [redacted] unit and strangers could easily enter my house. Lifetime Concrete refused to do this, but I was told they would provide me with a quote for the repair to be done. Yes, a quote….Lifetime Concrete wanted MORE money out of my pocket, after I paid them over $7,000 to have it done right the first time. Over the course of a year, this quote was never provided. The can was kicked further down the curb. Countless phone calls later, I was (again) told a quote would be in the mail. Nothing. Countless phone calls later, I was told a decision on whether Lifetime Concrete would even consider fixing the [redacted] unit – whether they be paid or not – would be sent in the mail. Still nothing. Finally, two last phone calls were made, Lifetime Concrete is taking zero accountability for their faulty work and is taking zero responsibility when it comes to their brand, their products, and their services. They screwed a customer out of thousands of dollars, because they are too cheap or too lazy to honor their product and service. This work was outsourced by Lifetime Concrete, and they clearly do not want to eat the cost of repair. The call ended with, from the mouth of the Lifetime Concrete owner, “We are done here.” So here I sit. Out $7,000, with an open gate to my home.Desired Settlement: I have zero faith in Lifetime Concrete and , after the way I was treated and ignored by the owner, I would rather not have them, their workers, or their outsourced labor anywhere near my home. I would like a refund check in the amount of $2,000 - the amount of the bilco unit install - so I can hire a contractor to get the job done correctly.

In the late summer of 2012, we hired Lifetime Concrete to add a patio to our home. After looking at several companies we decided on them. They were a little more costly but it seemed they were the right company for the job. They came to do the work later then promised but I was alright with that knowing they were busy. The did the work as we agreed and everything seemed fine. After the first winter I noticed a few pop mark appear. Not many and I figured it was the nature of concrete. After this past winter 2014/2015 the concrete surface looked terrible. Popping concrete over the entire surface of the patio. Nothing that anyone would expect from a new patio. I emailed and called Brian, the owner, and no response. I emailed a second time and his response was I'll stop and look at it. I figure OK. Let see what we need to do. After hearing nothing we went to the Home Show and who do we see but Brian... after a few excuses for not coming our he said he would. Well after a few more emails he finally said that these is a problem and he would have another company stop to get me a quote to fix it... nice he messed it up and now I pay another to fix it. So after a few more months of waiting and no follow up form Brian a guy showed up out of the blue from Endless Concrete to look at the patio. He says Brian asked him to look at the patio. Obviously this guy know Brian because he offered no blame on his workmanship or lack of. The guy leave and said he will work out a price and contact Brian at Lifetime Concrete. So here we are in late August. No repairs, no plans from either company to fix it, no quotes, no reasons why it happened. I understand that things happen but as a company and owner I expected Brian to step up and take responsibility. Instead he avoided the issue and will no get back to us. Believe me a am a very easy going and trusting person. I know things happen. Whether it was the workmanship or the concrete it happened. All I wanted was an answer why and what can we do to fix it. And nothing. I cannot recommend this company to anyone for these reasons. I am very dissatisfied with Lifetime Concrete and their owner Brian.
