No warranty issued or real receipts & wrong square footage charged
Back in June 2020, we found this contractor by their tv ad. They came to my home quickly after my husband called them.

Mind you my mom was in bad condition in the hospital so my mind wasn't totally there.
Anyways, the sales rep came and gaves us a quote of 500 more square footage than we actually have. He wrote everything down on a piece of paper that he kept and had us sign a different bill of sale or contract. Asked for $1,000 down. Said they won't be out until August.

2 weeks later we have a truck pull up and start unloading supplies. I asked if they are leaving them here for the next month or so and the young man said no that they will be starting tomorrow. I was shocked! No time to go to bank for a loan. Good thing for credit cards! Had to pay with 2 credit cards.

The young men did a great job doing the roof. The only problem we thought was wrong was they put the metal on the little almost flat patio roof. We were told it's was supposed to be rubber.

They asked if we wanted them to put new gutters only on the front of the house. At first we said no because their quote was really high. They came down on the price by $500 and we said yes go ahead and put them on.

After they cleaned up from the roof and left, we called them to see if they were coming back to do them. Never got a response. (Glad we didn't pay for it upfront!). We looked around later when we realized they weren't coming back. That's when we noticed that our chain link fence toppers were freshly busted and some bent from them dropping some of the supplies on it and over it.

We called them the next day to asked again if they were coming back to do the gutter, to tell them about the damaged fencing, to ask if we can have copies of the receipt and our warranty. We got no response once again.

We called the sales rep a couple of days later and he had someone email a receipt which we found out now that it is worthless! (I've attached a copy of 1 of the email receipts. You will notice that it's not on a letter head and the pictures have been removed)
We tried to claim it on our taxes but with the way the receipt looks like we maybe turned down for the credit.

We don't know if we have a warranty or not on our roof and they never came back to fix the fencing or to do the gutter.

It would be nice to get real receipt and something stating we have a full lifetime warranty like we were told.

Like I said earlier, my mom was in the hospital in bad condition at the time. I was constantly on the phone about her. I couldn't visit her because of covid was really bad at the time also. So my mind wasn't here and the rep knew this because I got a call in the middle of him being here for the quote.

It would be nice also if they would give a little refund since t we were over charged by 500 Sq ft!

Revdex.com:
I accept that the company has resolved the issue but I disagree with the company's response There was an issue identified when the technician came The issue was a vertical piece of the gutter that connected the main gutters to the gutter attached to the porch roof was too long It was identified that there was some pine needles that gathered in this area but the technician agreed that the piece was too long causing the water to no flow appropriately and advised there was no other debris in the gutters The technician cut the vertical piece to resolve the issue

We have been trying to get someone out to repair the issues we've had since our installation in September 2016. Once someone came out but since then we can't get a return call or anyone to come back and fix what they said would be fixed. For the amount of money they charge it's not worth it. Find another company to put your roof on

A Tech was sent out to [redacted]'s home to assess the issues with her gutters.  Upon inspection the Tech found that the gutters where not installed incorrectly or damaged they were filled with leaves and debris.  [redacted] was made aware that she needs to clean out her gutters and...

downspouts to avoid issues in the future.  [redacted] will be sending a letter attesting to the this.

This company SUCKS, they rip you off, charge 10 times what they should and don't respond to phone calls or emails after for problems.
I ask for 3 square of product to roof the breezeway between my house and garage to they WANTED $ 1400.00 CASH for this small amount, and would not let me pick it up
claimed it is free delivery, BULL.
they are a mom and pop company working from out of their house, in a development when I checked the address.
I call the main company in CA and only get answering machine
one time got to talk to Gordon, and he acted as if this was strange,
however said he would check into and call back in a few days.
Which he did only left it ring one time and hung up
I can call back every day, but no one answers.

We just had a metal roof put on our home last week by Lifetime Home Exterior Industries, Inc. We want to thank Luis and Able (as well as the other men) for doing such a fabulous job. They put in long hours and were very courteous. They even worked on a weekend!
People have passed and have commented how nice the roof looks. Our home seems to have more class. Thanks again, guys, and I would recommend them and this company to anyone (and I have). Al and Carol 7/20/17

Review: On 9/18, we gave contractor a deposit check for $500 for a new metal roof & applied to finance the balance through a state funded program. On 9/20, the contractor deposited our check in his account. On 9/25, we were turned down for financing. We have not received our $500 deposit check back even though their contract states that they will return monies within 10 days. Messages have been left with no calls returned.Desired Settlement: We want our money returned without further delay as the contractor should not have cashed our check before financing was secured.

I am rejecting this response because: I was told by Jeff on Friday October 4th that the check was cut & being mailed. I want the check #, the date mailed & where it was mailed from since this is NOT what I was told on Friday.

Response:

As is stated to all homeowners, once a customer is deemed uncreditworthy Lifetime Home Exterior Industry returns all deposit checks issued. As stated on the contract if a customer wishes to cancel his/her contract within their legal rights, whether it be under their three day right to rescind or if they are not creditworthy, a certified letter stating their wish to cancel the contract must be sent to the company stating their wishes. At that point Lifetime Home Exterior Industries, as is stated in the contract, has up to ten days to return the customers deposit check. At this point, Lifetime Home Exterior Industries has not received via certified mail the customers letter of cancellation. That being said, as was stated earlier, even though the certified letter of cancellation was not received the customer's deposit check was cut on the 8th of October and mailed from the New York office. Be certain by no means is it ever Lifetime Home Exterior Industries intentions to keep any customers deposit checks after they have been deemed uncreditworthy or wish to cancel their contract within their legal rights.

I am rejecting this response because

we were told on September 26th we were turned down by their bank for credit. The salesman told us he would try to get us in house financing. On oct 2 we were told we were turned down. On oct 4th we were told a check was being cut and mailed that day. Now they are saying a check was cut on the 8th and still wont say when it will be mailed. We were turned down for the second time on oct 2 and today is oct 11th. beyond their 10 they claim they will return the deposit. I would like to know when the check was mailed

Regards,

Consumer

Response:

Check for deposit has been received & cashed. As info, the postmark on the envelope was Oct 10th. As a consumer, I would never recommend working with this company.
