It is important to understand what Lifetime Windows and Siding was contracted to doWhen we first met *** *** he was in a bit of a predicamentHis uncle had replaced the siding on his home but left the job unfinishedThere was a small area in the back of his home, approximately 10’ x 10’
that needed siding as well as an extensive punch list of items to be repaired on the work that had been previously done on the rest of the home by his uncleThe contract signed by Mr*** clearly states the scope of work that was included in this projectIt was also clear that Lifetime Windows and Siding would not warranty any of the unfinished work that had been previously installed by his uncleIn an attempt to help him out of his predicament, we acquiesced to a number of requests from the homeowner at no additional cost for the labor required to accommodate himAlthough it was not required or suggested that Mr*** take time off from work to be present for the start of the project, his decision to do so without communicating that to the production department obviously resulted in frustration over lost wages and time away from workMr*** scheduled an appointment with Lifetime Windows and Siding to evaluate any remaining concernsWhen Lifetime’s production manager, ***, arrived at the home for the walk through, Mr*** would not even allow him in the back yard or around any of the areas where we had done the workThe reason being that his baby was napping insideWe are still confused as to how merely walking through the yard would affect a sleeping infant inside and how we were expected to address concerns that he would not point outAfter fruitless efforts to meet and reconcile with Mr***, we refunded 40% of his contract priceWe hoped this monetary compensation would allow us to shake hands and part amicably and allow him to pursue another route with his repairsIn closing, Lifetime Windows and Siding has gone above and beyond to help Mr*** and we have met a sharp corner with him at every turn and we believe that there is no merit to his complaint
