Mr [redacted] has stated his case and I am responding to state the case for our companyI am reviewing the claim sheet in front of me that was sent in to meWe agree to pay for all the items for which he asked for a monetary settlement except the hours of the workWhat Mr [redacted] fails to mention is that instead of the four men on the job as per the estimate, we supplied fiveIt is natural that some of them left a bit earlier than the others so as to balance the hours outhe also fails to take into account the hours required to load onto the truck from our warehouse, no small taskThese hours are also included in the time allotted for the deliveryThis was a Not To Exceed estimate, and we did not exceed the charges estimated The items for which he asked for monetary settlement are as follows:Rhino Statue---weight lbsMosaic Vase----lbsJapanese vase---lbsDisplay case----lbsrefrigerator freezer---lbsporcelain angel-------lbselectric steam mop-----lbsThe total weight of the above items is lbsWe contractually are obligated to pay cents per lb for lost or damaged itemsThat comes to $ Two other items listed on the sheet asked for no compensation: the bunk bed, on which we replaced a small section of woodThe second is the bar which by photo shows some damageWe sent our expert furniture repair man to the [redacted] home on several occasions, and performed work on every piece that we were asked toIf that piece escaped attention during those visits, it is not due to any reluctance on our partThe $we are prepared to pay as full settlement of this claim
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved]The claim for his employees leaving the job hours earlier and then returning is accurateHowever, two men returned and stayed no more than an hourI an my wife were present [redacted] was not aware of the incident until his son [redacted] informed himThe per pound is on damaged items and not on missing /stolen items from his storage facilityWe have $in damages and $of an over charge on laborWe also have pictures of all damages due to the companies neglectWhat stikes me as odd is [redacted] included only my small refrigerator and the missing steam mop, I have a dry bar with a marble top that was created and rapped by the movers and has massive damage, to include a crack on the marble topThe bar weighs around 540lbs when put togetherWe have moved from Ohio to Georgia, then Florida and finally decided to purchase down the street, three times and never needed to file a claimWe use this company to store and move down the street and accrued more damage then all three of our moves combinedI can provide the moving companies information and you can look to see we never filed a claim with any of themIf this case is closed with no resolution, I will begin to file with StJohns County small claims courtI have receipts for the missing items, pictures and copies of communications on this issue Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Regards, [redacted]
