Review: I am writing because I've had multiple issues with Lighthouse Oil. This company has failed to return phone calls I've made regarding multiple issues and errors made on our account. They made erroneous charges per gallon of oil as the manager, [redacted] and I agreed upon Sept 9, 2014 on a lower amount than the contracted amount. Additionally, they have charged our credit card without our consent. When I spoke to a customer service representative, [redacted], she was very unprofessional and quite rude. She stated she would credit our credit card with the amount they charged since we already paid them by check, which they cashed, and that she would make a note in the system to NOT charge our credit card again. We've paid them by check for the few years we've been their customer so charging our credit card should have never been done. Not only did they never credit our charge card but they charged our credit card upon the next delivery!! We stopped receiving invoices and did not consistently receive slips upon delivery. Per our oil delivery contract, we are required to be on automatic delivery which, per [redacted], is every 4-6 weeks. After speaking with [redacted] about this, they delivered oil to us and then again 2 weeks later! When I called for the 3rd time as the supervisor/manager, [redacted], never returned my previous 2 phone calls, I asked for 'the supervisor'. [redacted] stated she could help me and did not get the supervisor immediately. I then requested again to speak to the supervisor or manager of the company at which point she did not say a word, chuckled, then apparently put me on hold without informing me of this. I waited close to 5 mins until [redacted] got on the phone. It was a somewhat heated discussion with no apologies for their wrongdoings (charging our credit card twice without authorization, not returning phone calls, charging us the wrong amount per gallon of oil as agreed upon and charging us a higher amount than the current price as we are in a Cap Program and will be charged the lowest amount and no more than the contracted amount). He stated he'd credit our credit card of the 2 charges made and would make a note in the system to NOT charge our credit card again. He refused to make a note in the system to deliver oil every 5-6 weeks as requested as I realize we have to be on automatic fill per the contract. Delivery of oil every 2 weeks is unnecessary and quite frankly a way of collecting money from customers that they are in need of. When my husband and I originally signed with this Lighthouse Oil, it was run by someone else. About 1-2 years ago, the owner left and the company merged with [redacted] apparently, never informing the customers. We noticed a different truck delivering our oil and were informed by the driver that this occurred. Ever since this time, we've had nothing but problems. I'm looking forward to March when our contract is over because I will certainly be looking for a different oil company!!Desired Settlement: Follow through on statement of crediting our credit card of the 2 charges made. Be professional and polite to the customers they serve. Make adjustments/be more flexible with their customers, acknowledging their requests/needs. Follow through on your word!!!

Review: I had used Light House Oil LLC for oil delivery for a number of years. I recently had an issue with my boiler. The first technician said it is cracked and needs to be replaced. The next week a group of technicians from Light House came out to replace boiler and they said that it actually isn't cracked. I decided to replace regardless since it is an old unit. After install of new unit, it failed twice in two days. The owner came out to assess, looked at unit for 10 minutes and said it was fine (even though we were hearing exploding noises). I had a third party come out to review and the job was not performed to code. It was wired incorrectly which bypassed the thermostat(NOT TO CODE), the exhaust pipe which carries out deadly carbon monoxide wasn't fastened at all and even fell off during inspection (NOT TO CODE), the pressure relief valves were not piped to ground (NOT TO CODE), and the system wasn't purged, nor was the heat even tested! I was out of hot water for a week and gave this company multiple chances to fix the problem and redeem themselves.When asked to refund for the work that was not completed, even after the owner personally inspected and gave his approval, they refused. This company is not professional and even put my family's lives in danger of carbon monoxide poisoning by not completing the job. This is very concerning. Do not use this company...Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the cost of having the third party come and finish the job.
