we are preceeding with arrest warrant. if wecan not get, we will see you in court for lawsuit

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:Clearly the proprietor of Like-New Auto Repair does not understand the nature of my complaint, and for him to threaten arrest is nothing more than a bullying tactic.  No crime has been committed here, and if so I am the victim, not the perpetrator.  After I discovered that Like-New had botched the repair job of my automobile, I did contact my credit card company to file a dispute, for it is within my rights to refuse payment when a service is improperly rendered. The credit card company then withdrew the $1112 that I had paid from Like-New's bank account.  I have not pocketed this money.  It is sitting in an escrow account held by the credit card company awaiting mediation.  Let me make clear again the nature of my dispute with Like-New.  After paying for what I thought was a satisfactory repair of the front struts of my automobile (as well as some new tires and a bulb for the front headlight), the car was not driving properly.  I returned the car to Like-New for inspection and was told I needed a new front right wheel bearing.  I was also told that he could not do the repair in the time I needed (the car had already had been in the shop for a week).  So I took the car to another auto repair shop.  It was from this shop that I heard the horror story.  The reason the car needed a new wheel bearing is because the struts had been improperly installed.  It was this that caused the wheel bearing to fail. Additionally, the improper installation of the struts caused more damage to the car.  The left front axle boot was torn and also needed to be replaced, certain bolts were left loose or missing, the struts had been installed backwards, and, because the car had been jacked up improperly, the cowl around the wiper blades is cracked.  I have extensive documentation to verify all these botched repairs..  Because I needed the use of the car, I had the work done to repair the damage that Like-New had caused.  This cost me an additional $1364.45.  The technician who repaired the car told me that in his experience, he had never seen a "repair" done to poorly.  I contacted the Revdex.com because I want a fair resolution to my dispute and to warn other consumers that Like-New Auto Repair does not do reputable work.  To me a fair resolution would be either that Like-New does not get paid for the job, as it was not done properly, or they pay the $1354.45 that was needed to repair their mistakes.
Sincerely,[redacted] %3

at the moment complatiant has cancelled payment for all work done to his car.  this includes new tires, brakes, struts, and many other items that have
nothing to do with a bad wheel bearing that was noted and initialed by the customer on the repair order when he picked up the car....

if we do not receive payment
returned to us from the credit card company he used we have already notified police and are going to swear out an arrest for theft of services.%

Review: I recently had [redacted], the mechanic at "Like New" Auto Sales and Repair do some repair work on my 2009 [redacted]. Part of this work involved installing new struts and links on the front end of the vehicle. I paid $1112.00 for this and some other minor repairs. When I picked up the car to drive it home, it was making a noise like a helicopter from the front right wheel. I immediately returned the vehicle to get checked out, as it was not making this noise when I brought it in. The mechanic told me that this problem was with the right front wheel bearings, a job that he could not repair. I took the vehicle to a different shop to get the wheel bearing repaired. Here is where I received horrific news: the wheel bearing had been destroyed because the struts had been improperly installed. And not only was the front right wheel bearing destroyed, but the left front axle cover was ripped, all the grease had come out, and it too was destroyed. To get the car repaired properly was now going to cost me an additional $1120.30 (plus tax). [redacted], the mechanic at "Like New," clearly is incompetent. While all this was going on regarding my **, an issue occurred with my other vehicle that had previously been "repaired" at "Like New." In October [redacted] had replaced the muffle in my 2003 [redacted]. As this is my son's vehicle and he was away for a few months, the car did not get driven very much. Last weekend my son started to drive the [redacted] from [redacted] to [redacted], where he attends college. Sure enough a piece of the muffle fell off on the first day of his journey. It cost $127 to repair. The technician who repaired it told him that the problem was that the muffle had been improperly installed the first time. Clearly a pattern has been established here. The work [redacted] and his mechanics do at "Like New" is shoddy work. Please let people know that if they need their car to be repaired in [redacted], by all means do not go to "Like New" Auto Sales and Repair.Desired Settlement: I would like "Like New" Auto Sales and Repair to be responsible for the $1120.30 (plus tax) I am having to pay to get the car back on the road after their improper repair. This is an additional expense that I should not have to bear and wouldn't have to bear if "Like New" had repaired the vehicle correctly in the first place.
