My mower was brought in for repair returned and used once and does not run again. They have now declined to refund or work on it.I brought my [redacted] riding mower in as it would not start. The service I requested was to repair start, check for oil burning, level deck and replace tire in tube. All of above was done and they also did a tune up without authorization. They ran a bill up of $461.22 when I complained as I did not authorize that much work the bill was brought down to $400. After waiting a week they finally dropped off my mover. The yard (which is 3/4 acre) was mowed once. I noticed a squeak in deck and it was smoking. Over the weekend had a friend run it and he agreed it was right. After pulling it down to the driveway we then noticed screwed missing on motor and the mower died. When I called the repair shop back and requested to speak to the owner I was told they could not get a hold of him. When the mower was initially dropped off the front end manager assured me it was in tip top shape and he would not put it on the lot for less than $1,000. Now they will not look at mower, give me money back and I am stuck with a mower that has the same problem as before they repaired it. Mower will not start and it burned thru 2 quarts of oil in one mowing. I have tried to work with them in getting it back off and they are declining to work on the mowere. The owner will not call me back or come look at it.Desired SettlementEither they need to repair this mower at their cost now. Drove the mower up the drive way and under the garage, left it running to show the customer how good it was running and the customer agreed. Before we delivered the mower back the customer also complained that the bill was too high. We reduced it by $65.00 which is an hr of labor. After having the mower for 2 days, customer called back and said it would not even start or run. Customer made verbal threats over the phone. According to the complaint when it was delivered back it was not running good and smoking, if so, then why would the customer have paid us. It was noted to the customer that the grass was very high and should be mowed at a min of 4" which is on a high deck level of mowing.
