Customer came into dealership on 8/9/2016 at 122,659 miles with concern of "Check engine light is on recently had #1 coil replaced due to misfire". This coil was replaced by an outside repair shop. Our technician perform a diagnostic by scanning vehicle. We have a printout from our diagnostic...

equipment with last 8 of vehicle identification, mileage, date, time, and codes. Multiple codes showed but the pending code was P0301. Misfire detected cylinder number. Technician recommended replacing coil number 1 and the spark plug with it after testing coil which failed. Customer agreed to replace coil and plug. Technician noted on back of repair order that possible processor issue. All items attached.Customer came back on 8/20/2016 at 123,079 miles with concern "Check engine light is on- misfire". Technician perform diagnostics with scan tool codes showing after clearing codes and retesting to see what codes are still pending are P0301, P0316, and P1657. P1657 and P0316 were not present on 8/9/2016. After performing additional diagnosis with these codes the technician believes that there is a faulty driver in processor causing code P0301 and P0316 and also code P1657 showing can network issue that can limit fuel and spark. Customer declined repairs stating to service advisor that we misdiagnosed vehicle on 8/9/16. That is not the case. The coil and plug were defective on 8/9/16 according to tests. The technician could not determine at that time but noted on the repair order that there was a possibility that the processor could also be defective but could not prove it conclusively.(Codes P0301 number one cylinder misfire and P0316 multiple cylinder misfire). Service advisor explained to customer finding and she declined any further repairs. She stated that the vehicle was misdiagnosed on 8/9/16. Customer was offered to go over test results by service manager and she refused. When customer came to pick vehicle up service advisor asked to go over results with customer and she refused him. The customer still needs to have the processor replaced. The coil and spark we replaced were testing good on 8/20/16 so the only cost to customer is to replace processor. She was not charged any additional diagnostics fess on 8/20/16. The cost to replace processor parts 804.92 plus 110.00 labor. Total 914.92 plus tax.

Review: On 11/17/2014 I took my 2006 Lincoln Mark LT to Lilliston Ford because I noticed that when I would accelerate past 50 mph the car would jerk until I let of the gas. They did diagnostic test on my car and determined I needed the spark plugs and boots changed,an oil change, fuel filter change, and my fuel injectors cleaned. I had the work done and was charged 1088.44. I took the vehicle home that night and parked it. the following I took the vehicle out and drove around between 20-30 miles. I decided to see if the care would still jerk if I accelerated past 50 mph. when I accelerated around 50 mph trying to replicate the problem the low oil pressure sign, check engine light, and battery light came on and the engine started shaking bad. I pulled the vehicle over to the side of the road and had it towed back to lilliston ford the same day. I was called back later that day and was told I now need a new engine because the mechanic saw metal in the engine through the oil fill port. I believe the services rendered on 11./17/14 were compromised and are the reason inow need a new engine. lilliston ford is taking no liability for this. My engine was also partially taken apart without my acknowledgement or consent I believe in attempt to cover up what really happenedDesired Settlement: I would like a refund of my service bill on 11/17/2014 1088.44 and/or 6654.03 which is the price to replace the engine in my vehicle.

Mr [redacted]" vehicle was brought in with a missfire, several quarts low of engine oil, which was dirty, a fuel filter that was severly rusted. The codes indicated fuel flow issue. We replaced fuel filter, spark plugs (which had become fouled) and changed the motor oil and filer. Mr [redacted]s experaianced engine failure within 30 miles of use. The vehicle was brought back and we were asked by Mr [redacted]s to dio his truck. We found the bearings on the rocker arms worn down so that the bracket which holds tem locked against the camshaft on one side of his engine. At 3 or 4000 rpms the chains ripped the cam fasers, cam shaft sprocket and rocker assembley apart. Mr [redacted]s was shown this by the same tech that had installed this remanufactured engine as his first engine was replaced under warranty but also failed from lack of proper maitenence. He was also given pictures of the failed parts, and was offered by myslef to bring in an independant tech to look at damage as well. Nearly all lubricated compoenents show extensive signs of wear from lack of oil changing. If Mr [redacted]s has his vehicle at any capable garage, please have him forward the name and phone number and I will contact them their opinion of failure. They are also welcome to submit the Revdex.com their findings. I have reviewed our findings with Ford Motor Company and at least 2 certified techs and it is without any dought or hestitation what caused this 2nd engine failure

Review: Purchased a 2005 Ford Expedition. Was told the vehicle had been fully inspected by the service department and was good to go with no issues. Within 2 days and less that 100 miles into driving the vehicle, the check engine light and check fuel cap message came on. I was told to just drive it another 100 to 150 mile to clear the drive cycle by the salesman when I emailed him. Within a few days later it was telling me to check fuel cap again so I replaced the fuel cap. Then a few days later the check engine light came on again, it said check fuel cap again, so I made an appointment to bring it back to the dealer. After looking at it they told me it was a fuel pressure sensor on top of the gas tank and would cost $755 to fix, of which they were only willing to pay $300 of. I refuse to pay to fix something that was already broken when purchased and after I was told it was all ok.Desired Settlement: Full cost of repair.
