12/27/Well, before he started, I asked him if he had the equipment for this job and he said he did What he means about he did not realize the tree was that tall is that the lift he rented did not go up as high as necessary and he had to use a rope, etcto get to the top limbsThen the battery on the lift quit and we had to use one of my extension cords to get him down He asked for $of the $quoted so he could "pay his guys." The customer contacted me for a free estimate through [redacted]. It was raining and we went over her needs for a tree in the front, one in the rear and bushes trimmed. The tree in the front will also be ground down and I provided a $2300 quote. I offered to send an email for the estimate but she...
refused. I worked on the tree in the front yard, which was huge, for 3 days. I ask for payment for the work that was done and she paid $1400. I went out of town and went over expenses and realized I under bidded the work and I called to explain I can't finish for the quoted amount. She seemed to understand and asked me to return and finish trimming a tree and I agreed to return when I have a lift on rental. Later, she started calling and leaving nasty voice messages and cursing at me. After that, I decided not to return.
