This customer brought in his vehicle after installing his own idler and pitman arm that he ordered off of ebay and asked us to tighten them, install a new control arm, and align his carWe performed the job on 9/15/and the customer took the car homeOn 10/17/the customer brought the vehicle back in because a transmission cooling line had rupturedHe was instructed to have the car towed to us for a free inspectionUpon inspection we found that the customer had installed the wrong idler arm which put it in swing path of the cooler lineOver time the idler arm wore through the aluminum cooling lineThe customer was told all of this and even given his old part, acknowledged that it was wrong when we showed him the car in the airWe have a signed document by the customer of the above factsWe are not accepting liability for damage caused by him installing a wrong part on his car

BIGOTIRES has fabricated a story in order to avoid liability but here are the FACTS:My truck breaks down a few weeks after BIGOTIRES works on itThe coolant line which was MISPLACED was exactly where BIGOTIRES was working on my truckThe part that BIGOTIRES claims was responsible for the damage was installed in my truck OVER MONTHS AGO with no problemsThe coolant line failure was NOT DUE TO WEAR AND TEAR OVER TIME, the line was misplaced and CRUSHED IMMEDIATELY, BIGOTIRES fabricated theory does not make sensePlease take a look at other customers reviews on Yelp and other sitesYou will see that this is a pattern with this businessThey are VERY negligentin addition they did not mount my battery cable back on correctly, they did not rotate my tires as they were paid to, they are a VERY VERY SHADY bodyshopi have been dealing with cars for years and I have NEVER written a review or complained, this SHOP CAN DO SERIOUS DAMAGE!

Customer [redacted] arrived at Big O Tires on 02/27/and purchased “staggered” tires as listed on invoice #: ***; “staggered” meaning two different size tiresI explained it was necessary to order the second set of tires, requiring payment up front, a protocol in securing normally non-stocked tires, to be delivered the following morningThe customer paid cash, and then left with the spare tire on the vehicle as she arrived, with the plan to arrive the following day for installationLater that late afternoon, the customer called to inform another tire had become flat, and was considering having the vehicle towed to another tire shopShe was advised that two of her tires were secured, and the others due to arrive the following morningShe was also reminded of the 25% restocking fee by phone by me and another employee from an earlier conversationShe advised she was arranging towing back to our facilityAt the time of close, her vehicle had not arrived to our facilityThe following morning neither she nor her vehicle showedHer $cash had been deposited, so further return reimbursement ($less 25% restocking fee) would be made by check as explained to the customer

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me

I am rejecting this response because:I disagree with the statement given. When I asked employee *** why I was going to have to wait until the morning to get the tires put on his response was due to timeIf I was told that they had two of tires I would have request that at lead two could be put on due to the fact I already had a spare onInstead the business was willing to sacrifice my safety for their convienenceWhen I left the shop ans one of my tires back I did call to see if there was any way to get any tires on my car that nightI was told that they were not sure but they could see what they could doDue to receiving an undefinative response I felt that I had no other option than to go else whereOnce at the other business I realized that Big O Tire had the wheel that the spare tire was replacingIt was when I called them back that they informed me they could get the tires tonight and I proceeded to tell them that due to them not calling me back I had no other option in the emergency state I was in then to go else whereWhen I paid in advance I was not informed of a 25% restocking feeI do not feel that it is ethical business practice to have to pay this fee as punishment for the shop choosing to initially inform me that they wouldn't not have the tires until the next day but then claiming that they had them once I called them after being stranded on the roadI had to pay $for a row truck due to them sending me away when they could have instead put the two tires they conceeded in having initially

BIGOTIRES has fabricated a story in order to avoid liability but here are the FACTS:1. My truck breaks down a few weeks after BIGOTIRES works on it2. The coolant line which was MISPLACED was exactly where BIGOTIRES was working on my truck. 3. The part that BIGOTIRES claims was responsible for the damage was installed in my truck OVER 8 MONTHS AGO with no problems4. The coolant line failure was NOT DUE TO WEAR AND TEAR OVER TIME,  the line was misplaced and CRUSHED IMMEDIATELY, BIGOTIRES fabricated theory does not make sensePlease take a look at other customers reviews on Yelp and other sites. You will see that this is a pattern with this business. They are VERY negligent... in addition they did not mount my battery cable back on correctly, they did not rotate my tires as they were paid to, they are a VERY VERY SHADY bodyshop... I have been dealing with cars for 20 years and I have NEVER written a review or complained, this SHOP CAN DO SERIOUS DAMAGE!

Business states that they do not wish to go back and forth with the customer. At this point they will move forward and refund the entire amount with no admission of fault in the matter.

non-stocked tires, to be delivered the following morning. The customer paid cash, and then left with the spare tire on the vehicle as she arrived, with the plan to arrive the following day for installation. Later that late afternoon, the customer called to inform another tire had become flat, and was considering having the vehicle towed to another tire shop. She was advised that two of her tires were secured, and the others due to arrive the following morning. She was also reminded of the 25% restocking fee by phone by me and another employee from an earlier conversation. She advised she was arranging towing back to our facility. At the time of close, her vehicle had not arrived to our facility. The following morning neither she nor her vehicle showed. Her $1116.29 cash had been deposited, so further return reimbursement ($939.52 less 25% restocking fee) would be made by check as explained to the customer.

back in because a transmission cooling line had ruptured. He was instructed to have the car towed to us for a free inspection. Upon inspection we found that the customer had installed the wrong idler arm which put it in swing path of the cooler line. Over time the idler arm wore through the aluminum cooling line. The customer was told all of this and even given his old part, acknowledged that it was wrong when we showed him the car in the air. We have a signed document by the customer of the above facts. We are not accepting liability for damage caused by him installing a wrong part on his car.
