Limori's Dry Cleaners Reviews (2)

Review: October [redacted] 2013 I brought in 29 articles of clothes for dry cleaning services at Morris Cleaners [redacted], New York [redacted]. I came to pick up my clothes a number of times and they told me it was not ready come back the next day. Friday before work I came again and they told me they will deliver my articles to my home. Monday I came back to find out why they didn't deliver I was told to come back Wednesday, at that point I asked the owner to please tell me the truth. He blamed this problem on me telling me maybe you put the clothing in a garbage bag and they were thrown out. I argued that thirteen shirts had been located and the rest is gone. From the original 29 articles I received thirteen shirts. He offered me store credit and $500.00 cash. I lost almost all of my wardrobe five suits, five paints, one polo shirt. On the receipt they have three jackets that belong to suits instead of separate jacket and pants. I asked for $2000.00 dollars for my loss, the actual replacement value is triple that. I wrote a letter and hand delivered it to the cleaners, I have waited four days and now they are refusing to take my phone calls.Desired Settlement: The items lost will not be located and I am not asking for replacement value. I am asking for $2000.00 to help with the cost of replacement.

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Morris Cleaners regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Review: This is a Dry Cleaners located at [redacted] Their Phone number listed on their ticket is ###-###-#### This is a non-working number as I subsequently found out.

I was unaware that the business had changed ownership as it was [redacted] ( the sign still says [redacted], it was supposed to be a second location for [redacted] the original being on kings highway in brooklyn, a long standing well respected business). The business apparently was changed to a Limori's Dry Cleaners which is only evident from the ticket itself. I brought in 2 pairs of pants and 2 shirts on Friday June **, 2015. one pair of pants to be pressed, one to be dry cleaned. the two shirts were only to be pressed. I told the young lady Needed it no late than that sunday June [redacted] 2015 as these are work clothes and I would be working on Monday. She said yes, we have same day pick up, I said no problem Sunday would be fine. I came back Sunday and was told by the owner that he did not receive one of the pants and one of the shirts back yet. I didn't understand how that happened but I said ok I would come back monday. I came back monday but was told the shirt and pants were lost, if I could give him a few days. Reluctantly I said ok and told him I would be back in a few days. I came back 2 days later and he said they still couldn't find the shirt and pants and iic it was possible for me to go to the place and look for the missing clothing. I was shocked and said absolutely not. I asked hi to pay for the missing clothing he said no, that's not their policy. Their policy is to give store credit (although it is written no where)...I said absolutely not!!! why would I ever give him anymore clothing to dry clean or press??? to lose again...no thank you. I asked him for the value of the clothing.. he said no please give mea few days. I gave him more than a few days. it is now Friday, June ** . I went yesterday and he said the clothes are gone he can't find them. I said ok please give me the money for them he said no, its not their policy . I said are you insane? you lost my clothing. he asked how much I said $24 for the shirt and $70 for my son's pants. he said no, he is not paying that. I even went as far as to tell him to pay me for the clothing and if he finds the lost clothing in the future I would give him back the money. Again he said no. He told me there is nothing he can do. ABSOLUTELY DESPICABLE business practice. Unbelievable. So I am making a well deserved complaint against this sham of a business.Desired Settlement: I would like the business to pay for my clothing that it lost. I am not being unfair. I am asking for the actual cost of the clothing. I even offered to give receipts (the money I asked for did not include Tax and shipping (they were ordered online).

I would also like the rest of the neighborhood to be aware of this businesses unfair practices. No one should bring clothing there, the owner does not care and will not reimburse, he does not stand by his business. he should be penalized for it somehow. a terrible rating would be a good beginning.
