At the time we responded last, we had been told by the utility company that the issue would be resolved and in the manner mentioned in the previous responseHowever, weeks after that response was made, they contact us and informed us that it could not be resolved in that mannerIt was explained to us that because of how long ago this issue was started, they cannot backdate the bill or remove it from collectionsThey told us that we will need to resolve the issue between us and the residentThey also explained to us that it is the resident’s responsibility to cancel or transfer serviceThey told us the apartments can do so on behalf of the resident, but not without a signed agreement from the residentSince we did not have the signed agreement, we cannot make any adjustments to the accountAfter we received that information, we contacted the resident directly via email and explained what the utility company had told usWe also expressed that if the resident provided a copy of the bill and the receipt of payment he would be fully reimbursed for the amountWe never received any response from the residentWe will attempt to contact him directly again with the information we have received

It was written that the resident had been sent to collection regarding their utility billIt is our practice that once a resident has moved out to access our online account to switched service out of the residents name into our the companies nameAfter the resident contacted us about this issue,
we called the utility company and asked to have the move out date adjustedThey requested us to send them a copy of the move out information as proof that the resident moved out on the date statedWe sent it over to them that day and received a generic email response that it could take two weeks to one month to have the matter resolvedAnd we did not hear from the utility company beyond that
The resident did contact a couple times after that, at which time we informed the resident what the utility company had saidWe also told him that we would contact them as soon as we heard response from the utility companyWe have done all that we can do regarding this matterBeyond supplying the information for the utility company, we have no control the results of this complaintHowever, upon finding the matter had not been dealt with yet, we have contact them again seeking a resolution to this problem immediatelyThe representative from the utility company informed us that the adjustment will be handled right awayThey also informed us that we should expect to receive a copy of the adjusted statement by mail, which will be sent out over the next couple of daysThey also informed us that they do not send out email confirmations that a request has been carried out only the adjusted statement, which is why we hadn't heard from them up to this point regarding the matter
We hope that this matter will be resolved in the eyes of the residentWe also apologize, again, that this matter even occurred- since it had been a year since the resident moved out before the resident contact us the first time about the matterAs stated before it is our practice to have all things resolved with each tenant upon move out, including matters regarding utility billingIt is important for the residents to contact us regarding matters such as these as soon as possible so that they can be resolved more readily, especially when it involves a third party, such as a utility companyWe can supply a formal letter as proof that the matter was dealt with to the resident once we receive the statement from the utility company, if they wish to receive such a confirmationIf that is the case, the resident may feel free to contact us via phone or email

I had received this msg from you, but they did not actually resolved the issue.
They merely said they did but they did not do that. I have responded with
accepting the resolution provided that they given me a written respond,
and yet they have not done so. My item is still in collection.
