Review: I interviewed with this company for a customer service job. I was told that I would need to pay $60 for a background check for the job, but it would be refunded to me in my first week check once I started working. Once I started my new job I gave my receipt to the supervisor who informed me that I will not be getting the $60 in my check and that the company located on wall st was telling me the wrong thing. I then called the office (liano) and explained what happen, a gentleman by the name of [redacted] took the call he was very rude once I told him that the job said I wasn't getting the $60 back. After a long discussion he then threatened me saying "either you want your $60 or you want your job". Along with many other things that was said throughout the conversation. The job was very unprofessional, Everytime I asked about my money they told me something different, and there were also felons working there which means a background check wasn't required.Desired Settlement: I would like my $60 back for the background check that never happen and I would also like this company to be shut down because they are stealing people money that are actually trying to feed a family.

Review: I responded to an online post via [redacted] for a Customer Service Position advertised. On the add; It has been suggested to speak with [redacted] on contact number ###-###-#### as they are looking to hire immediately. Upon phoning [redacted]; we had a brief phone interview and I was invited to a second interview with a [redacted] On Tuesday the [redacted] of March. [redacted] suggested that I take $50 with me as a prescreening / Background check would be performed if I was a guarantee hire. The fee was only to be charged only if I am hired. During the interview with [redacted]; I was asked if I was available to work the same day as they needed to fill some slots by the week ending March [redacted]. I responded "Yes" as I am seeking employment and am open to start. [redacted] placed me in the waiting area where an woman associate took the $50 fee and provided a receipt with the following information:Date: 3/**/14$50For: Prescreening / ConsultationFrom: [redacted] to [redacted]All Sales Are Final. Non Refundable.---------------------I then asked the young lady as to the next step as I was asked if I may start that day. The woman responded that it will take up to 48 hours for the background check results and I will receive a call on Thursday. I saw [redacted] with another applicant and I attempted to get his attention as I was under the impression that I would start ASAP. [redacted] proceeded with his applicant and told me that he'd call.I have not received the Thursday call so I took initiative to follow up with [redacted]. I was spoken to with attitude as [redacted] blatantly stated that he's on lunch and repeatedly stated "I'm confused why you are calling" I was then transferred to Another Gentleman whom claimed to be the "Head Consultant" Whom made matters worse. He cut me off while I have been explaining all of the above; He was very rude and lacked all customer service skill as he repeatedly asked me to "Calm Down" when I was only inquiring about the position that I paid for and have not yet received.Desired Settlement: I m no longer interested in this "Position" as this business does not have a website and the office number given ###-###-#### is invalid. Surely this is a [redacted] scammer as the other personnel has confirmed that the 6th floor of [redacted] are well known for taking funds from job seekers.I would like my $50 refund as I am Very aware that background checks are free and furthermore I have not received any proof that the services paid for has been rendered.

Review: I recently saw an ad for a customer service job on [redacted] stating they were paying 10-13 for a costumer serive repersentative at a call center. I called the number posted ###-###-#### the same day (June [redacted], 2014) and was told to come in for a interview at [redacted] on the [redacted] at 10am for the next day with a resume, professional clothing, and identifacation. I came into the building told to go to the [redacted] and announce my self to the front desk. I was told to call the company I was wainting on with 2 others waiting for the same interview. He came down to get my resume and id went back up then after reviewing came back down to get me. I was told the job was guarenteed with a result of a clean background. Already feeling skeptical of the promise of a "guaranteed" posistion he than proceeded to tell me the hours and then layed it on me to be considered I had to pay a $60 fee for my background check information. He then decided to make a timely mention right after I make the payment I would be sent to queens to work for a whole other company he never mentioned until after I decided to pay this non-refundable fee, which didnt make much sense because prior he said he was the [redacted] and now after I pay he says their a screening agency .I asked for documentation of the legitmitacy of their company and he got pretty touchy insuring me of the company's honesty. My biggest problem isnt with the money I basically wasted its my copied social security number and id that were suppose to ne sent in paper work for the background check that im concerned with. I dont know their intentions and I dont want to be in any trouble as far as identity and credit goes before I even get to start building it. Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you soon with help or advice regaurding the matter.Desired Settlement: I would like the copies of my information back and a written contract stating my ssc and ID wont be used for anything fraudulent. The money I gave was said to be non refundable but if possible a refund would be ideal since there business is with out a doubt a shady one.
