Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2016/09/13) */ We received a call and voicemail requesting to cancel a membership at the beginning of July (between July and 11)The call was returned on July and we informed the member that cancelling would not be a problemAll that is required is filling out a cancellation form and that there is a day notice from the time the form is filled outThey asked if the form could be emailed and they were informed that it would not be possible at the time, as I was out of town for the next 1/weeksThe caller then said that they would stop by that week as they wanted to get it taken care ofThey were told that there would be somebody at the gym each evening during the week and Saturday morningsUpon returning from travel at the end of July, the instructors did not mention anybody coming to cancel or change a membershipWe received no other contact (email, phone, or visit) from the individual until August when they showed up to cancelThey began to make complains about us not being available, and that they stopped by multiple times the week before, however when asked what days and times, they couldn't provide any details until I said somebody was there from 3:each day, to which they replied it was 3:when they triedOn the cancellation form, it says that there is a day notice required to cancel, and the obligation end date is the date that a member's obligation to their contract ends, including the day noticeIt is not the requested end date, so that part was changedIn addition, when signing up for the membership, the contract states that a lack of use of the facility does not release one's payment obligations, and that a cancellation form must be filled out and signed with a day notice in order to take effectRegarding our hours, we have an interactive schedule both on our facebook page, and our website, that has our classes, and it is updated any time there is a changeThe funds that were transferred from the account this past time was noted on the cancellation form and within the day notice periodThere are no additional funds being chargedThe individual never received gloves because being a small business, we have low inventory at timesThere were only two times when the individual came to the gym - the day they signed up, and the day they canceledUnfortunately at those times they were on order and out of stock due to other members signing up and requesting the same itemWe do have the gloves in stock now, and would be happy to provide them

They asked if the form could be emailed and they were informed that it would not be possible at the time, as I was out of town for the next 2 1/2 weeks. The caller then said that they would stop by that week as they wanted to get it taken care of. They were told that there would be somebody at the gym each evening during the week and Saturday mornings. It is not the requested end date, so that part was changed.
