This is the worst company ever I had surgery almost 4 weeks ago and still have not received a payment for my short term disability.I have 2 kids no one can tell me why I havent received a payment...They need to be closed down!!!!! I have 2 kids to take care of no income coming in

They are CROOKS! Requesting additional documentation to delay the process. Even with a physical injury or sickness, they will delay your claim. Enesio G. must not like her job, because she is incapable of doing a good one. Never returns calls only if asked to speak with a supervisor she magically answers. Otherwise, she never returns calls. The entire process took 2 month, only to receive a denial. I will continue with a lawyer!

Avoid this company. Got the the end of my level premium period on a 20 year term and instead of sending me notice that the rate was about to go up they just send me a bill that's five times the original. Wife almost paid it. Nobody but a fool sticks with these policies outside the level term period. You think after being a customer for 20 years they would at least send a letter saying the level term was over, after all its been 20 years. But that doesn't pay big bonuses so but no they just send the bill and hope your dumb enough to pay it. Highly unethical.

This has got to be by far the worst disability insurance company. I have been out of work for over a month and only received one payment. Have direct deposit set up and I have to call every other week to get them to fix whatever new system glitch is happening because they're "not sure why the check isn't releasing or being deposited" to my account. I am diabetic and need supplies not to mention groceries like everyone else...horrible company and customer service

This company is very unprofessional. I haven't been able to work in 3 years, they cut my benefits in November 2018 after having issues with my medical insurance even with me have surgery in March 2019 they still denied my appeal even though I have pending surgeries and still unable to work. The review board must be using google to look over peoples medical issues and forcing people to work when they are not able. I was told by Lisa *** that it didn't matter that I payed into my policy. They always have an attitude they loose paper work etc. I payed into this insurance so I would have a back up on financial issues till further notice this company has broken me down to eviction and cut off notices and no holidays. I hate I payed into this company and wouldn't recommend them to a hot dog. You guys are not us and don't know what we go through and it's unfair to keep putting pressure on the disable to work occupations that they can't .

Garbage . There's an agent Named Angelica *** out in Arizona who is terrible . She has to be one of the most evilest , slivery serpent. She feels the need to drag out my short term claim .I didn't ask to be injured . Lincoln group is garbage and so is she . She has played more games than actually helping me receive my benefits. This is only a short term disability claim . It's almost been 3 months with no pay. Honestly, how does she sleep at night ? Being such a horrible person . If someone did that to her and her family then it would be a problem . I know it's her job to not pay me - but Karma is something . She will get hers - period . Job or not . You're playing with my life and it will come back to you . Eventually it always does .

I have never applied for any life insurance policy, let alone any policy with Lincoln Financial group. This is a scam! Calling them only gets me to a voicemail box. Beware of these people, they will not get 1 dime of money from me for something that I never applied for...

No star rating for this completely unethical scam company. They take monthly LTD premium payments for years, and when you need them the most, they cut you off without EVER having a doctor examine you, and completely disregarding your treating physicians' diagnosis/opinions of your ability to work.

Lincoln Investment aka Horizon Financial Group will not stop stalking my widowed mother. John *** received SEVERAL requests to stop showing up without an appointment to my mother's home. I placed over a dozen requests to the offices near by and was told each time "they are in a meeting all day" when requesting a District or Regional Manager. My mother has now received (2) additional mailers from John *** from each of the above listed company titles seeking personal, financial information formatted as a CONFIRMATION. Not illegal, but IMMORAL when the intent is predatory aimed at the elderly or widowed population.

They are VILE. Do NOT do business with or allow any rep to come to your home.

John *** began his assault on my mother after reading my father's obituary.

Lincoln has LIED to me and acknowledged they lied but refuse to help. Before I enrolled in their dental insurance I called and talked directly to them to confirm benefits and details. I was told incorrect information. Now that I am trapped in a contract, they are refusing to pay what I was told by THEM they would pay. Their poor customer service has proven they don't care about the consumer wanting to be happy with them. I am greatly disappointed.

Worst company I have ever had to deal with. Took my money for over 30 years and then they tell me my policy will cancel in 5 years because the cost of the policy is exceeding my monthly payment plus my dividends. They would not even talk to me about changing the policy. I canceled the policy and received what was left of my dividends. Bad company to deal with if you are over 60.

I am writing this review on behalf of my father, he has his 401k with Lincoln Financial Group and he retired last year. He has been requesting systematic payments since he retired and I have been handling his account since and had no problems up to now, he requested a distribution request and wanted me as his daughter as always to handle his request for him because he doesn't understand procedures to proceed so as usual I did as my dad wanted. Now he is being told he can't get his 401k because me as his daughter can't handle it for him, I been dealing with these people for months for my dad, talk directly to them and so has my dad as they request and they still want release his 401k to him. They even request that he send them a written letter of permission to let me continue handling things, we did that and they still want release his 401k to him. We have done everything they ask and they have even spoke to him verify everything and they still want give him his money. They telling him bull that since I was the one handling his account over the phone which they saying now is fraud for all these months which no one had a problem with talking to me and proceeding to help me, sending his request of his 401k to him these pass months, he can't continue getting his 401k from them because of his daughter handling his account. This is a load of crap they giving my dad, they have giving us so many different excuses for him not to get his 401k request done. They requested for my dad to call and he has and he explain everything to them how he wants me his daughter to continue handling his account and he verify everything with them and still don't want to release his 401k to him. This is a lot of crap and it is obvious we are gonna have to get a lawyer involve because something just doesn't add up. This is my dad hard earn money he worked for for 25 years and now he can't even get it because of some bull about me his oldest daughter that have been here taking care of him for all my adult years handling things for him with no kind of problems and never had issues with these people til now. For all you hard working people out there looking to save your retirement, please look else where because having this company doing good with you one minute then to turn on you the next is not good. At first all was good but now all of a sudden it is not, all I can say all these lies and channels they taking my dad thru is gonna come to an end because I am in the process of getting my dad lawyer to get things rite and trust me my dad lawyer already talking a law suit. All this could have been avoid because all my dad ask was for a distribution request and can't get it be cause of crazy procedures that never had any issues til now. It will be resolved by my dad lawyer. Be cautious who you choose to handle your 401k.

Don't waste your money on short term disability. My company had a ten year contract with them. They are supposed to pay up to 24 weeks in a 12 month period if a doctor states you are unable to work your own occupation. They fail miserably in bad faith. They will approve you at first, but not for long, even when your doctor has faxed them endless notes stating you need to be out of work until a certain date. You can even continually go to 40 physical therapy appointments, fax all those notes, have an MRI report showing moderate tears, scar tissue build up, pain in movement, and even though they are aware of your occupation, that you need to push, pull and lift heavy objects, they still delay the decision for over a month and then deny you. You are forced back to work not fully healed and in pain due to financial obligations. They use a nurse consultant to make a decision, completely unqualified. Just make sure you have thousands of dollars in back up for your monthly bills Because you could empty out your account quickly! They find invalid reasons to deny you in bad faith. This company is completely unethical and morally corrupt, Please don't give this company a dime of your hard earned money, they could care less about you, the little people. The dollar is the main focus even when you have a valid claim. They should be fined heavily by the insurance regulator

This company is in charge of a *** (Gainesville, FL) retirement buy out option. Twice they have sent me the wrong paper work and have given me incorrect information over the phone multiple times. They appear to have hired people to read a scripted text for incoming calls and not people who are actuality knowledgeable in finance. Do not trust them with your financial future. I will be contacting the *** to see if they can offer any assistance.

Make sure you ask to read the fine print. Lincoln does not pay any benefits it the injury or sickness is Workers Comp.

I submitted a claim with Lincoln Financial on Jan 8th, my initial contact was very polite, but as process was going they just kept dragging it out for different reviews. I would call in and they would say they were waiting for paperwork I knew they already had. I spent 2 weeks in Hospital with bad staff infection and went 60 days with home infusions 3X/day. They kept hinting they thought it was a pre existing condition I had already been teated for, nonsense!!! Now, 3 months since a pay check and since first date of contact they tell me its been denied. Now I have to go thru a Petition process. I have cashed in all my vacation pay for the year to get by, who knows how long the "Petition" process takes. I bought disability insurance so I wouldnt be in this situation. Now I guess I will need to hire attorney to resolve.

Lincoln was excellent in the beginning . They made me feel very happy to have this benefit. Oh but below and behold did I see a big difference in less than a month's time. I didn't understand how after receiving two payments, and all the information they needed could result in less communication, and denial of benefits. How can your Doctor that is seeing you, and testing you determine you're unable to work , but their doctor at Lincoln states you can work. So I started to review this companies reviews, and I see I'm the only one. This is sooooo sad ! We pay to have this benefit taken out of our paycheck with no problem, but when we need what we're contributing to does not care. This is HORRIBLE. I HOPE THE BEST FOR EVERYONE THAT HAS BEEN PUSH TO THE SIDE AND HAD TO APPEAL THEIR BENEFITS OVER AND OVER SOMETIMES WE HAVE TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT !!!!1

I purchased 20 year term insurance for me & my wife in 1998. All bills came to me at my work address & were paid on-time. In 2017, I requested that the billing address change to my home address. This request was made in writing (on the bill), and through a phone call.

After 3 months, the bills were still coming to my work address. On the fourth month, a bill for my insurance was sent to my home, and a separate bill for my wife went to my work address. (Previously all bills combined for both me & my wife).

Now, 5 months after I tried change the billing address, I am still having trouble getting my bills. Last month, I didn't get my bill; this month, I have received my bill, but not my wife's.

On top of all this, my insurance premiums have gone-up!!! I thought the whole purpose of term life insurance was to have a consistent benefit with a consistent cost???

I have now called Lincoln Financial five times, and keep getting the run-around. They give me a "reference number", and say my complaint will be addressed in 8 days. After 8 days, there is no response, no resolution, and no contact. Worse, when I call back, I have to re-explain the problems -- correct billing address, and why a premium increase?

Today, I asked for a supervisor, and they said none were available. This was at 8am -- when they open for business! I asked to leave a message for a call-back, but they told me that they are open from 8-5, and I should try to call again!

Worst customer service I've seen in a long time. Why is it so hard to correct a billing address? Why don't they explain when a term life bill has increased?? Why can't a supervisor call me at THEIR convenience???

Crazy... if you value customer service, I would suggest looking somewhere else.

I work in HR for a company who used Lincoln for group life insurance coverage and voluntary coverage. They are horrible! I had to audit all employee coverage because I was starting to notice discrepancies between what we had on record and what Lincoln had. Come to find out, the company was not honoring an agreement we instated that any employee who made under $*** in salary would get group coverage for $*** instead of their annual earnings. This was not being done, and they had the audacity to claim it wasn't a thing, until they finally found the contract and fixed it. Mind you, this had been instated years before I started working there. We had a lot of back and forth over some issues with employee's voluntary coverage as well. It was a huge headache. We have since switched to a new insurance company because of this experience and are still finding issues! For example, the current company we switched to wasn't grandfathering in a spouse voluntary coverage policy our COMPANY OWNER had because Lincoln didn't have it on their census or invoice, even though I had an official letter from Lincoln approving the coverage. I faxed it over to my agent, and now we have to contact them because it appears that we were never billed for this policy, and it wasn't on their record. It's a good thing no one had to make a claim during this fiasco! He/she would have had quite the fight on their hands because of Lincoln's incompetence. My question is, how is this allowed to happen? Our company isn't even that big, so it's baffling to think there were so many issues. I will never use Lincoln for anything personal, and I will tell anyone who is willing to listen to steer clear.

Unfortunately my company uses Lincoln for disability benefits. I had a knee replacement in early December 2017. After I was approved for benefits, I had tried to apply for direct deposit online but was "ineligible". I thought at that time that it was just too early in the process for me to apply, or that it was for people on LTD. Fortunately, my first check arrived early so I thought this will be okay because I can pay my bills on time (mind you, my STD pay is $***/month less than my regular pay from work). Unfortunately, the 2nd check came 7days late. My mortgage along with other bills are scheduled ACH draws from the bank, so needless to say, those payments bounced. Every day that the check was late I called the StD rep, Brandi ***, who gave me no support.. She never suggested for me to switch to Direct Deposit. When I finally received the check, I asked her if I could sign up for direct deposit and told her that I had tried twice to sign up online and it came up that I was ineligible. She informed me that that option was "not setup". Really? in this day and age? Also, in order for you to find out when the diredt deposit goes through you have to go through a phone tree. If you call Customer Service you do NOT have the option to talk to a human being. ALSO when you sign up for their "direct deposit" it does NOT go into your bank on the day that they say it will go into the bank. THEIR "DIRECT DEPOSIT" TAKES A FEW DAYS TO BE DEPOSITED INTO YOUR BANK, ERGO IT IS NOT "DIRECT". I asked Brandi why was I not informed of this? People have bills and obligations to fulfill-how can those of us who are living on a limited financial means live? I was told that we have to "ask for information". the corporation is not user friendly-I think at least when you are approved that they should send you information of when your expected benefit check is mailed, when you should receive it, when your direct deposit will occur and when you should expect it in your account. I now have payments that have been returned "insufficient funds" and have been charged fees not only from the bank but from the mortgage company, etc. I am thoroughly disgusted with this company. I have never been treated this way-unfortunately I've had spinal surgery, other knee surgeries when I worked at other hospitals and NEVER encountered problems. This company is incompetent.
