Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:If I may be bluntthe "revised complaint", as you call it, provides proof of how you run your business - that's why it proves nothing new to youCustomer service is not what it used to be in many companies now and that is sadThere are many consumers who don't challenge a company that has done wrong because they are either too busy or don't care to bother with itI'm not one of those consumersAnd I'm not too busy to let any of your potential customers know how you run your businessMy mother and father both have their own businesses, and all the access to social media can be a very powerful toolI'm still requiring that you repair the leaf by a professionalMy quotes were attached in my previous response and I'm assuming you would accept the lower of the three in the amount of $136.As far as the return of the secretary desk...You are the owner of Lincoln Park Emporium, but you state "I always strive to be reasonable but need to be cautious when bending posted store policy", you're the owner - you have the power to enforce or change any store policy you want.Respectfully submitted

Hi [redacted]. Just a reminder... you reopened my complaint against Lincoln Park Emporium and asked that I send you my response via email. I just received a third quote to repair the table leaf. Please add the following reply - thank you!:In reply to Mr. Odie R[redacted], owner of Lincoln Park Emporium, in Greeley, CO. You state that the damaged table leaf your company delivered to my home was accepted. This is true; however, I was not home at the time to see the damage (I was in the hospital - admitted April 9 and released April 15). I purchased the table on April 7, so I could not be there at the time of the delivery. Your policy for delivery: "Items purchased must be retrieved by the owner or scheduled for delivery with three days of purchase.". Your movers asked my son where he would like the leafs placed - they were placed in a spare bedroom with the damaged side faced against a dresser.I called on April 16 (the day after I left the hospital) and spoke with Jack about the damaged leaf. He asked me to send him pictures via email. ------------------------------------On Thu, Apr 16, 2015 at 12:28 PM with 7 pictures attached:Jack,Pictures per our discussion...This is the good leaf you brought down for us - as you know there were no scratches on it like this at all.[redacted]-------------------------------------Email reply from Jack:  On Thu, Apr 16, 2015 at 6:49 PMThanks for the pictures I see what you mean.  The owners are usually off on Thursdays so I do not expect to see them today but will pass this on to them tomorrow afternoon when they come in.Sorry about this problem and we will see what they say.Jack-------------------------------------After still no return call from you... I called and spoke with Judy several times over a 2-3 week period - I can pull phone records if you like. She too, told me the owner would have to work with me for these types of customer issues. The conversations that took place between Judy and me were: 1st call - you and your wife both had doctor's appointments, 2nd call - really busy with something regarding the building's roof, and the 3rd and last time I was getting frustrated because Judy suggested I call back again. That's four different times your employees said they would follow up with you to return my call. I then personally brought the leaf back to your company and left it hoping that would get it attention. After that, you finally were aware of the damaged leaf since you gave approval to work on getting the scratches/deep groves out, which is the first I've heard of that since I never received a call back. I did not approve the table leaf to be repaired by your staff, as I know the quality of the finish would not be satisfactory. I simply requested that you see the damage and give me a call to agree on a resolution. The damage to the table leaf, whether it was wrapped well or not or your delivery crew admits it, didhappen during transit to me.In your closing you asked if I required additional information and, yes, I do. I also mentioned in the complaint that I had spoken with Jack, also on April 16, about returning a secretary desk I bought for my mom (purchased the day after the table). She says it was too small for what she wanted. Jack let me know I could get a refund for store credit, but I won't be buying anything else at your store. So I'm requesting a refund upon return of the desk.My Desired Settlement:  Leaf restored by a professional. I received three different quotes: $136, $170, and $250. The companies were sent the same photos I sent to you and they said due to the extent of the damage it will need to be refinished. These quotes do not include my time and fuel I used to bring the leaf back to your location, to get your attention, or to take it to a professional for proper repair. I'm also requesting a refund of $180.81, for the secretary desk, and not to be used as store credit.
