This complaint relates to another ticket I opened earlier this summer ( [redacted] ) Part of the service Midas rendered on 6/17/when I went in for a standard oil change was placing a plug on my left, front tireI recently drove my car to the Boston area and noticed the the LF tire was leaking air on the drive up to BostonI had the tire checked by [redacted] in Newburyport, MAThey let me know verbally and documented that the LF tire was plugged in an unsafe location too close to the sidewall, out of spec with both tire and vehicle manufacturersThey noted that insurance companies do not allow plugging in this areaMy tire was still leaking from the same area and needed to be replacedOnce again, I am believe Midas intentionally damaged my carThe first complaint stated that [redacted] noted Midas had poured too much oil into my engine and drained out the transmission fluidThey knew the latter occurred because my car had recently been serviced by [redacted] and the transmission fluid had been checkedI now have three instances of this Midas not delivering a simple service (an oil change)Instead, it looks like that made intentional mistakes - 1) placing in too much oil into the engine, which could have blown up my car; 2) draining out the transmission, which also could have severely damaged the car; 3) placing a plug in the wrong place, which has now cost me $in repair costs, and which also could have badly damaged my carAnd obviously, if my car could have been badly damage, my health/safety, as well as the health/safety of anyone in my car was in jeopardyThis business needs to be shut downI will submit all paperwork and statements from the automotive shops who testified for this caseI would like to now be refunded for $Midas charged for the original service and the $I needed to pay to replace my tireTotal is $I am considering bringing this to court

We really feel sorry about what happened to the *** *** She came to the shop for an oil change and asked us to check the air pressure in the tires and to check for any leaksDuring the oil change our mechanic found a nail in the left front tireAs he asked the customer to
check the nail and asked her if she wanted us to plug the nailShe said okay so we did the serviceOur technician did a great job and it was very "by the book"Also the technician found the rear struts to be leaking and notified the customer and he also explained the condition of the car very well to the Customer and notified her of all the services she would need such as a wheel alignment after replacing the strutsShe paid for the oil change and tire plug and after that we have no idea what happened with the ATF drainingWe don't drain the ATF without the customer's permission and charging for the ATF serviceWe let her know the condition of the car based on what we saw and did no further services without her permissionWe have a courtesy check form that we give a copy to the customer and keep one for ourselves for future situationsThe form stated crystal clearly about the leaking struts and wheel alignment but it didn't mention anything about the ATF serviceStrut oil and transmission oil have no relation to each otherWe really feel sorry about what happened to the *** *** If she has any questions then she can contact us at *** and ask for Ly or Joe
