Review: I recently purchased a 2003 mini cooper from the business late December. After purchasing there were multiple problems with the car some that made the car "dangerous & unsafe" to drive, which came from my mechanics conclusion. After multiple trips to repair shops and expensive trips I am done with this car. My problem is I still am paying payments until I completely buy it off. Right now its sitting in a parking lot because it started shaking and smoking, I would love to just give the car back with little to no charges given to me. I do not need this car anymore with all of the problems, I just want them to take it back, they can resell it to someone else after fixing it.Desired Settlement: I do not need a refund of the car or any repairs, I just want to get rid of the car without it messing up my credit. They just need to take it back

Good morning, my name is [redacted] and I am replying to this complaint filed against our business. Here is my fathers response regarding this particular matter since he is the owner and operator of Lincolnway Sales & Services.

I am the owner of Lincolnway Sales, I have been at this location for 27 years. When she came to look at the car she stated she doesn't know how to drive a stick shift (MANUAL) so she came back with her boyfrient to test drive the car. At that time (12/21/2013) she filled out papers for [redacted] and was approved. She then bought the car and left. One time she called (date unknown) about her check engine light being on, we told her to stop by the shop so we can diagnose the vehicle (with TECH-2 scanner). The scanner indicated that it had a slow response with an oxygen sensor. Some time went by and nothing was brought up about this particular issue and we were informed she moved to MD. She called another time (date unknown) and said she was at the MINI COOPER dealer in MD. They told her it needed some kind of work and I informed her she bought a warranty and to have them call the company to see what was covered. Now I am receiving this letter.

She called last week (8/29) and asked if we would do a trade for her Mini Cooper for another vehicle. I informed her that we just received this complaint from the Revdex.com and we need to address this matter first before we do anything else. Not really sure what to think about this particular situation since I just started working for my dad in 4/2013. I know I made several attempts to reach [redacted] for [redacted] through calls and also faxing over a document to their office.
