There are several factors to consider in this matter: 1) Was the intent from the beginning to try and hustle a discount, as is often the case when someone starts to accuse someone of “lying” in our business? The answer is no! I don’t see anywhere in the chain of
emails to suggest that we were intentionally set up for any failure and discount2) Was the initial request that of a “Limo “ vehicle? Yes it was! 3) Do we know the difference when a client is asking for a “ Limo Sprinter” vehicle as opposed to a regular Sprinter? Yes we do4) With over a calls and emails a day, is this a common mistake? Not ReallyWe are highly trained to deal with the multitude of requests and changes that overwhelm our industry as a whole5) Then explain what happened? How did this get so far out of hand? Well after reviewing all the emails, it appears that informing the client that any Limo Sprinter was not available should have been the first order of businessThat didn’t happenI believe that we just assumed that it was What did happen is that we responded with the next respectable vehicle priced at over 30% less than the requested vehicle99.9% of the time that is acceptable, especially with the discounted pricingNow granted, our client never questioned the price as suspiciously lower than normal, but then again, on many occasions during very slow times, we do offer some discounts, but never at this price Not once in any of our emails response did we suggest that we were sending or even pricing a sprinter limoThat would be lying! That did not happenWe are in the service businessWe have challenges on a daily basisOften, we are pretty thorough I am authorizing a 30% discountHis 25% and another 5% for taking the time to point out this mistake But, I do want to say this… We are a San Antonio family businessOver years in serving this cityI can count on one hand the times that we have been “accused “ of business deception. It would take a computer and a case of paper to acknowledge the good deeds of our family in this communityI am offended by the “ lying “ comment, and because no where do we mislead the client in any way or, in any form of our communication , I do kindly ask that he retract that comment We are a company of the highest standardsOur clients can vouch for the hundreds of thousands of dollars of free services that we provide year after year, to the likes of Make a Wish Foundation, The San Antonio Symphony, Wounded Warriors, practically every single Gala event of significance, The Sutherland Springs Massacre where we donated over $10,of free services. You name it, if it's of any value to this community , the Elegant name is probably branded nearby. And we don’t seek publicity, in fact , if unavoidable , we ask that our name only be mentioned without brashMy point is that it isn’t always about the moneyAnd I'm sad that it reached this point. Yes, we are a limousine company besides a charter serviceAnd yes, one would think that we would assume that the “Limo” is the first preferred option of choiceBut those days are goneWe here no longer assume that , consequently leading to the miscommunication.
