on November 30, She was very concerned that she needed a debridement (deeper cleaning) rather than a prophyI (DrH***) told *** that I would not charge her for the deeper cleaning, and that she still needed to come back for the prophy(which would also have been free) The debridement was written off her accountBut when she was here on the November 30th date she did have an exam and full series of xraysThe insurance asked us to write off the exam (which we did) and denied the full series of xraysWe did however contact the insurance company and debate the xrayswhich they did say they would coverHowever, while we were waiting for the insurance company to send the payment for the xrays, *** did receive a billI wish she would have called usand we would have been able to clarify that it was just the xrays cost that we were still waiting for We did receive the xray check in the mail early in March and now *** has a zero balanceI did contact *** and explain the reason for the bill was the xrays and not the cleaningThe cleaning was zero’d out from the beginning I hope this clarifys the misunderstandingI know *** is elderely and is on a limited budgetWhich is why we told her not to worry about the debridement in the first placeShe was in tears in my dental chair and that is why I told her not to worry about the cost If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me Sincerely, Linda H***, DDs
