Linda's Typing Reviews (4)

As my emails will verify (which were included with my first response through Revdex.com), I did respond to Mr [redacted] 's initial contacts I will not be paying any monies to Mr [redacted] As I said previously, it is the responsibility of all of my clients to proof the work I do for them to ensure the product is as they want If not, and the client brings to my attention whatever changes are needed, I immediately make any corrections, and give back to the client to review once again, to ensure everything is as it should be[redacted] Linda's Typing

This correspondence is in response to the above-noted complaint filed by *** *** on February 27, 2015.First and foremost, let me say that I have not ignored contact from Mr***responded immediately to his emails and addressed his concerns, as you can see from the attached copies
of emails from him to me, and me to him, which are date and time stamped.I have also enclosed a copy of a letter written by Mr*** dated March 12, thanking me for all my workThere are also copies of emails to the publisher (*** ***, now known as *** *** ***) with my following through with what they needed me to send them.Mr***'s emails to me change from one to the nextThe amount in question changes from one to the nextI responded to all but one of the contacts he made, and never blocked him from my email addressThe only time I did not respond was to his letter he sent certified mail giving me three days to send him money or elseI was not able to make his 3-day deadline to respondThere was nothing more I could say except what was already said in my previous emails.Mr*** had an initial thumb drive given to him by me with his manuscript on itAfter he made changes to the manuscript, I sent him another one, for him to send on to his publisher, along with a hard copy of the entire corrected manuscript for his own fileWe were to meet up sometime down the road for us to have lunch together to celebrate the publishing of his bookAt that time, he was to give me back the initial thumb drive, and I would give him another thumb drive with the corrected manuscript on it for his fileThat way he wouldn't get charged for an additional thumb driveAfter six months went by, and not hearing anything from him, I put away his paperwork I had sitting out on my desk (and shredded his handwritten copy), and waited for a call from him about us having the lunchIt wasn't until the end of last year that I did hear from him again, making accusations about my not making the corrections, being so unprofessional, etc., etc., which is far from the truth. I am not a publishing editor, nor have I ever stated that I was, nor do I advertise myself in that mannerWhat I did edit were the words that Mr*** wrote that were incorrect in one form or anotherThose changes were then only made after first discussing them with Mr***My computer shows that the corrections were madeAnd, interestingly, so does the published manuscriptI ordered it online in January and received it in February (receipt also attached)IN ANY EVENT when it comes right down to it it was the responsibility of Mr*** (as it is for ali my clients) to proof my work to make sure what he wanted is what I sent him, and what he paid forIf Mr*** had checked the last thumb drive to make sure the corrections were done, he would have noticed if there were stili any issuesIf there were, and he had contacted me before sending the thumb drive to the publisher, I would have immediately sent Mr*** another thumb drive with the appropriate version of the manuscript. There is nothing more I have to say on this matter

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
My letters from Linda's typing possessed by Revdex.com show that Lynda's Typing had completed the manuscript " Publisher Ready" as she has stated Those six months without contact were the six months waiting for the book to be out and on market The amount she says were changing were due to my continuing negotiations with my publisher I clarified only what needed to be done and nothing more getting me a price of $ which is reasonable for the corrections they will make Also Revdex.com has that letter AS far as lunch of which she spoke That date was made however Linda cancelled it telling me she was going up to visit family and sell her house In light of that she told me all errors were corrected ,it being "publisher ready " Letters in position of Revdex.com. Also she did not respond after the issue surfaced Only one thumb drive was sent me with letter to *** *** *** And on her good word and -then assumed professionalism I sent it in. I want - to cure the situation
Regards,
*** ***
