Lindas Cleaning Consultants, Incorporated Reviews (1)

Review: we contracted with [redacted]'s Country Cleaner for a full house spring cleaning. The cost was to be about 400 +/- dollars and we expected they would be there all day and that in the end my home would be spring cleaned. We were expecting company and wanted the home to look nice. They cleaners left after 3 hours, saying they were only allowed to be there three hours and had basically cleaned tow bathrooms. I paid them what they requested 245. before even looking at what they had completed. When I went into my house to write the check I noticed they had not even swept and dusted beyond the top floor. I asked them to say and finish cleaning. They said that [redacted], their boss forbid them to stay any longer than the three hours. They left. I contacted [redacted] and asked that they finish the job or I be repaid. She responded with a series of pictures that were taken without my knowledge of the bathrooms before and after cleaning. I am outraged and [redacted] simply does not understand why a) I might have wanted the house cleaned and b) now that I have discovered that they have tken pictures of my dirty bathrooms I don"t want them in my house and just want my money back. She refuses to negotiate with me saying all kinds of things like after I complained the ladies went back in the house. (No way) and that my house mate said they had to leave in three hours, not the cleaning ladies ( I saved all the e-mails) I am out raged. I did talk to an atty who said that it is really inappropriate if not illegal to take pictures of the inside of someone's home. They certainly were not for me. I know how dirty the house was. If it wasn't I wouldn't have called themDesired Settlement: I simply want my $ back. If she does not, I may go the legal route (small claims). At the very least, I will be posting this experience on [redacted] as well as [redacted]. Hopefully this can be resolved and hopefully she will learn that u don't take pictures of the inside of someone's home. Suppose there are more!Suppose they are still out there in this woman's phone. I trusted her company and I feel violated.

Response to Complaint

Email to : [redacted] June 18, 2013 Revdex.com of Metro Washington DC and Eastern Pennsylvania1880 John F. Kennedy Blvd Suite 1330Philadelphia , PA 19103 RE: Revdex.com Complaint ID [redacted])Attention : [redacted] On June 14, 2013 we received the enclosed letter, copy attached, in reference to the above complaint number submitted by [redacted]. We wish to submit the following response. We have been in business, serving the tri-county area ([redacted], [redacted] and [redacted] County) for over 32 years. Our reputation in the community is highly regarded. We have provided a variety of services to our thousands of clients over the years to assist them in maintaining and or improving their properties. We also provide many of our services to the major Realtor’s and Corporations in our service area. We ask you to visit our web site : www.lindascountrycleaners.com and click on our testimonial page to see the unsolicited comments we receive from our customers daily. There are too many to print but a few minutes of browsing will give you a good sense of what we are all about. In addition to being on committees of community events, the owner and President of our company, [redacted], sits on the Executive Board of the [redacted] Business and Professional Association and holds the position of Secretary. The above mentioned complaint is the first complaint we have every received from the Revdex.com in the history of our company. As you can imagine we are baffled and concerned. Revdex.com received the complaint on June 5, 2013 a full week before we were even able to discuss via phone and email communications the issue with the person (her former husband and house mate) who called and hired us. In addition to the allegations , the threats of posting on [redacted], [redacted], [redacted] and [redacted] before this was resolved is in our opinion unreasonable and irresponsible. We hope when you reach a judgement in this case you will advise her that this negative posting , based on the facts of the case, is inappropriate. We have attached email communications for your review. We would like to summarize them for you and respond to the customer’s statement. Please note we have been communicative and responsive to her calls and emails. Regarding her first statement from complaint.“We contracted with Linda’s Country Cleaner for a full house spring cleaning. The cost was to be about $400+ and we expected they would be there all day and that in the end my home would be spring cleaned” This is absolutely a false statement. Our staff had the verbal communication with her ex husband and is confounded by this statement.

Exhibit Marked #1 See Email June 1 from Us / Exhibit Marked #2 SEE Email dated June 12 when we finally got to speak to the ex husband who hired us.Explanation: We received a call from her ex- husband who requested us to schedule a cleaning for their home on May 31, 2013. He requested our minimum which is 3 hours per worker. He specifically asked for two girls, 3 hours, We suggested a full “spring cleaning” and gave him our rate for that . We are familiar with the property since we have worked there before and we knew we would need more time than 3 hrs for two girls.. He specifically stated and confirmed in a phone conversation on June 12, 2013 (which we confirmed in an email June 12 Exhibit 2) that in fact he did only ask for two girls for three hours , that he specified what he wanted done when they arrived and he was adamant about only spending the amount necessary for 2 girls for 3 hours plus supplies = $245. Our workers arrived, talked to him about his priorities and told him they would check in with him as the job progressed. Unfortunately he was not available after 1 ½ hours as we had hoped so the workers proceeded to clean following his initial instructions. The disconnect seems to be 1. Communication between the ex- husband and wife 2. Even though both ex husband and wife agree and admit to the poor condition of the house they do not seem to understand the time it took for our workers to clean the areas we did clean . We literally had to use a scraper in some areas! And we did clean more than two bathrooms and wash walls in the hallway. Exhibit Marked #3 See email: June 1,From: Homeowner:“I got spit polish cleaned bathrooms (Beautiful)” Please note: We understand that she wanted more work done in the house but that is not what we were contracted for. We were contracted to spend 3 hours and in their house, we are sorry to say, it doesn’t even scratch the surface of what really needs to be done. However we were not staying longer than her ex husband agreed to pay for.

Our position is that we did come for three hours, we did what we could do under the circumstances and there is no reason that they should not pay for the job the workers did. Exhibit Marked #3 June 1. The home owners first email to us as a followup to our May 31, cleaning stated something very telling. “I am not afraid to pay for a really good, complete job but have not gotten it from your company or for that matter anyone else. I am a frustrated consumer.. !” There is a reason for that . There is isn’t a company around that can do what she needs within her budget limits or deal with the conditions that we face. An example on May 31, our workers walked into the kitchen and saw that there was dog food all over the floor. As they describe it, it was like walking on marbles..

For the record we have given this customer periodic service for about 5 years. There came a point in our relationship that I had to intervene and convince the home owner that her admitted hoarding issues, the deplorable condition of the house and issues with her multiple cats and dogs,, ( strong pet odor and feces throughout the house even though there are litter boxes there is still feces on the floor.) had to be dealt with aggressively. We needed to spend a lot of time cleaning and needed a dumpster to remove a ton of debris !! This house is a health hazard. I have a team of workers who have experienced being in this house and will testify to the conditions. Exhibit Marked #4: Email sent to our office from one of the workers who was assigned to this job on May 31. 2013.We sent this to the homeowner in hopes of her seeing the perspective of the person doing the job. We were being honest and upfront and they still won’t accept the facts and the reality of the situation. The homeowner’s other issue was photos that were taken by the worker to defend herself against the accusation of the comment she made to them that “they did nothing” and therefore did not want to pay for the time they were there.

Exhibit Marked #5 June 5Exhibit Marked $6 June 4 In addition the photos had absolutely nothing to identify that they were from her home. A persons identity is more exposed when she enters a bank, supermarket , mall or sits at a traffic light. Surveillance cameras are a part of our culture and they actually take a photo of the person or license plate number. The photos that were taken did not even identify the wall color of the bathroom. They are generic and could be anyones bathroom. That being said they were for our reference only. No one elses. There was no malicious or negative intent.

Finally I would like to submit Exhibit #7 June 3.That communication explains our position. We are very sorry for these turn of events. It is very sad when a customer who could really use the many services we offer and were willing to give her cannot cope with the reality of her life style and situation and therefore reacted the way she did. I also question her motives. Was she just seeking an excuse to get her money back? Looking for a way not to pay for a service she received? It was not our fault that her ex husband did not request the service she wanted. We could only give her what we were being paid for. He was not willing to pay for anything more. Respectfully submitted[redacted]President

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

Linda continues to insist that she did a grand job and that it is common practice to take photos in a client's home without their permission while I see it as unprofessional and unethical. I am also offended that she has decided to defend herself by describing me and my family as hoarders and my home as a health hazard and deplorable. I have attached two pics, I think one of the dining room and another of the living room. They are not that good cause they are filled with people celebrating a holiday. Would this happen in a hoarder's home that is in deplorable condition and a health hazard. Most of my pics are taken with people or critters as the focus, thus I could not find a god one showing the house itself...

The issue at hand was an uncompleted job that I wanted her to complete. She responded with pictures her cleaners had taken in my home without my permission. Because she states this is common practice in her business, I am very concerned for me and anyone else who is her client. Do they know this? Because I can't have her back in my home, I want financial restitution.
