Linda's Stuff, Inc. Reviews (1)

Review: - Purchased a Black [redacted] Clutch that they 100% guaranteed was an authentic [redacted] item

- paid by [redacted] online 4/26/2012, $3285 USD was charged so $3316.62 Canadian

- emailed the store and they were unable to provide me with the proof that they even had the item authenticated to know that it was real.

- when I got the item authenticated by a third party when I went to resell the item, the results came back as inauthentic.

- the company gave me some excuse as because the item is old they have no record on file of the transaction (i don't know what kind of business they are running because I know for a fact for tax purposes you have to keep all paperwork on file for at least 3 years in case you get audited by the government) but I have the [redacted] charge on my credit card bill, billed to lindasstuff in clear writing as proof of my purchase

- they are not taking responsibility for their mistake and basically said they can't do anything

- THEY ARE NOT HONORING THEIR RETURN POLICY CLERLY STATED ON THEIR WEBSITE

- So I am taking this to a higher level as they mislead about their product. Lied and sold a fake item as real and now are unable to provide proof that it's real when they claim all their items get authenticated

- their website clearly states : "Do you guarantee authenticity? Yes--we at Linda's Stuff pride ourselves on only selling 100% authentic designer merchandise. We work with professional authenticators to confirm authenticity. We are so confident in the authenticity of our items, that we will issue a full refund if you feel that you've purchased an inauthentic item."

- So now I am asking for a refund and they basically told me in SOL.

Please do something so this terrible company does not dupe any more poor consumers paying thousands of dollars for fake merchandise while being made to think its real.Desired Settlement: - I will resend them back the item by canada post, then I want my full money refunded as their policy states.

- if they so choose they can try to dupe another poor unexpecting customer out of thousands of dollars for a fake item by selling this unauthentic piece of merchandise

Response:

Hi. How can a buyer possibly be allowed to carry and use a bag for over two years and then ask a seller for a full refund? We sell over 25,000 items per month around the world and are as honest and ethical as a company can be. I believe this is only the second complaint that has ever been filed with the Revdex.com and this is as baseless as the first. The buyer claims that we sold her a bag over two years ago that she is just now claiming is fake. We do not dispute that we indeed sold her an [redacted] bag over two years ago. What we do dispute, and what the buyer cannot possibly prove, is that the bag she is claiming is fake is the actual bag we have sold her over two years ago. There is a reason that there is a time limit on returns and really any questions of fact about an item in general. If the buyer had come to us within one month, we would have taken the bag back no questions asked. As a mater of fact, we process refunds for returns on dozens of items every day. If the buyer had contacted us within the first six months, we would have been able to check our files to look at the pictures and contact [redacted] to see the details of the listing to verify that the bag in question was the one that we sold. As we authenticate every [redacted] bag that we sell, we could even have found the actual authentication and given it to the buyer. Unfortunately, after two years we are unable to do any of these and we will simply not issue a refund after a period of over two years simply because a buyer wants us to and threatens all kinds of actions and even libels us online as this buyer has done. At some point in time, the responsibility for a transaction falls on a buyer who does not contact the seller about an alleged problem for over two years. Thank you for your time.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Honestly I guess I should have been smarter and asked for authentication as I was never given any when I purchased the item from the quote unquote reputable company. I also should have read all the complaints from other buyers online. Now two years later, I work at a consignment store and know that authentication PDF letters are provided with bags from reputable companies I'm am wiser. I do not own the company but the owner ensure that every since item is authenticated professionally and we have two copied of the authentication (one for the buyer and one for our records) BUYER BEWARE. I was duped and purchased a fake bag for over 3 thousand dollars that they said was real. I am done with the situation but for the record my complaint still stands that this business sold a FAKE item to me.

Regards,
