Linda's Unisex Hair Salon Reviews (1)

Review: On 10/11/13 I visited this salon hoping to get highlights for a reasonable price. I ended up with zebra stripes, a burnt scalp, and over $400 spent and 5.5 hours at another salon on 10/13/13 to repair the damage so that I could be presentable for work on 10/14/13. My hair was so over processed that I need to use protein treatments weekly for at least the next month. I am limited to washing my hair only twice a week for the next month to prevent further damage. After speaking with Linda, she recommended that I wear my hair in a ponytail without a part for the next month. I did request a refund for what I paid her on 10/11/13.I received half on 10/12/13 and the remaining on 10/16/13. She refused to pay for the repair. Even more concerning, she tried to hide what she had done at first by distracting with curling my hair. Pictures available upon request.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the cost of what I had to pay to have my hair repaired.

I am rejecting this response because:

As shown in the

additional attached pictures, it was much more serious than 'missing spots'. The dye bled

through the foils leaving me with stripes on my head. These

stripes were covered up by the unrequested curls [redacted] put in my hair. She had encouraged me to go home and shampoo, stating that the color would improve after a few days. I did so and upon further inspection found out how serious the situation was. My scalp was severely irritated and broken out from the over processing. No one I have spoken with, including salons, understand the comments made about the regrowth or highlights being an issue. The rest of my weekend was spent finding a salon to attempt repairs so I could go out in public, which resulted in spending the majority of a Sunday there and a $400 repair (receipt available upon request). This other salon (reference available upon request) capped their charges to help. I am now a brunette requiring protein treatments and limited washings, the only way to repair the damage and sustain it, for at least the next 6 months.
