To whom it may concern: We are in receipt of the complaint ID [redacted]. This customer was referred to Lindora by a medical provider and the cost of this weight loss program was covered under an insurance claim.  The customer stated to Lindora medical staff that she was advised that...

she would not be required to exercise and that food would be provided. Unfortunately the customer was advised incorrectly. Lindora is not a food based program and gentle exercise is required as part of the medically supervised weight loss program Lindora offers. The foundation of the program which is outlined clearly on the website http://www.lindora.com/our-approach, is threefold - nutritional counselling, guidelines, menu plans and whole food suggestions, a step by step approach to incorporating physical activity into daily life, and learning to manage stress to achieve successful weight loss outcomes. The customer expectations did not match the program requirements and it was concluded that the program did not suit the customer’s needs at this time.   The amount invoiced to and paid for by the Insurance company was under $2,000 (not $9,000 as stated in the complaint), and included the standard products and services for  achieving success on the Lindora medically supervised weight loss program as follows:LabworkExamination by a medical provider10 week weight loss program, incorporating daily counselling sessionsProtein supplementsBoostersStandard tools for success including program manual, keto sticks, and a daily action planner The customer’s first visit was on 3/9/2017. The last visit was on 4/13/2017. A total of 8 visits was completed and during this time the customer did lose weight. On 5/20/2017, based on discussions with the customer and per the customer’s wishes not to continue the program,  Lindora advised the Insurance Company in writing, that this customer would not be completing the weight loss program for the reasons stated above. In accordance with standard practice for all refunds, an audit of the account was performed and a refund check was issued to the Insurance Company for products and services not utilized by the customer. The Insurance Company was provided with a detailed breakdown, and supporting documentation  of what products and services were utilized by the customer as recorded in the medical record. To our knowledge this matter has been resolved and no further action is required by Lindora. Sincerely,

Yes, the total visits were 8. Each visit the Nurse was trying to get the personal Chef program going as I was promised with the program. The Insurance Company paid for the program but I was told that Lindora was going to have a Personal Chef meal plan due to my Disability, it wasn't until after that I was told that Lindora didn't know how to bill my Insurance there for they couldn't provide it for me.  I think Lindora took advantage of me and lied about the Personal Chef program being part of my weight loss because the Insurance Dept. already paid. The full $2000 should be reimbursed so I can start a program that fits my needs. Thanks
