I wish I had not hired Lindowyn Art and Photo for my upcoming event. They broke my contract and left me in a difficult position. Earlier this year, I signed a contract with Lindowyn Art & Photo for photography services at an important family event in October, 2020. Only some months before my event, I received an email from Ashley *** the owner of Lindowyn Art & Photo, notifying me that she had cancelled my contract to photograph another event on the same day/time as my event. Rather than telling the other party that she already had a booking scheduled for that day, Ms. cancelled my contract instead. Her decision was upsetting, and left me in the unfortunate position of having to find a replacement photographer on short order in a competitive market.
This review contains false information, and I encourage any potential clients who are curious about this to inquire with me about my emergency postponement policy, especially during a pandemic emergency.
It is unfortunate in any case when a reschedule occurs, but my contract is explicit regarding circumstances beyond our control and acts of god. I am certain that this is a stressful time for many people who are looking to celebrate life events in 2020 as my life and business have been impacted as well. It is out of this consideration for time necessary to find a replacement that my notification to cancel was submitted within minutes of receiving news of this emergency reschedule, in March. My contract with this client had only been verified for three weeks, whereas the other client has been verified for two years in addition to work on that contract already having been completed. The client/complainant is aware of this, as outlined in numerous emails. I have fulfilled the requirements for appropriate cancellation as outlined by my contract, and consider the matter closed.
