"Hello [redacted],
Congratulations on your engagement and upcoming wedding day, How exciting!Thank you for your interest in on location event make up services with LindsayLondon Beauty. We are a company that has over a decade of experience in the beauty industry specializing in Bridal make up. We won "Best of" on the Knot 2012,2013,2014 and 2015. Our work has been featured in People magazine, CNN, The Knot magazine and Style me pretty.
Our specialty is having your very own glam squad travel to your location so you can relax and be beautified. All make up applications include a skincare consultation, professional prepping of the skin, prime, conceal, highlight, contour, bronze, blush, lip stain, full eyes with false lashes and the Temptu Pro 18+ hour sweat and  tear resistant airbrush foundation formula.
I am currently available and would be honored to be a part of your special day!
Quote for on location airbrush make up and lashes for Bride plus 4 faces and trial run free brow sculpting and travel on Friday October 10, 2015 is $615.00, additional travel may apply and is based on distance. The breakdown per service is Bride $150, trial run $75, on location fee/deposit $50, Bridesmaid $85.00 each"
For someone whose "reputation in the industry is head of class", she is not completely honest and continues to insult a former client. She never mentioned in her quote that her services were nonrefundable and that there is a bride only price. Her quote states that lashes are included at no additional cost. She came up with this additional cost after my bridal trial. As you can see her quote is not consistent with her rebuttal. She also never mentions any $75 deduction.
Prior to my makeup trial with Lindsay London, I asked her if eyebrow shaping was included in the bridal service. Her response was yes. The fact that I asked about eyebrow shaping on more than one occasion should be enough evidence that eyebrows are important to me. When she showed me my almost complete look - my eyebrows were not shaped. Then, I started to cry. Finally, she shaped my eyebrows as promised.
I did apologize for freaking out and crying. For someone who works with brides, freaking out is very normal for brides. My case is not unique in any way.
I was happy with the makeup until she changed everything she said originally. Suddenly, she increased her price and wasn't able to do my bridal party. Again, I would have never visited her if this information was made known to me prior to my bridal trial.

The following is quoted from her email after the bridal trial
"Hello [redacted],
Thank you for meeting with me for your bridal trial. I enjoyed meeting you and getting to know you and your sister. My apologies for missing your call yesterday and getting now to your message. My husband had surprised me with a mini getaway for my birthday and then wedding weekend was here.
I'm so glad that you were pleased with the look from your trial. You are definitely a beautiful person in and out.
I have made note of all of your requests for the wedding day. In regards to booking I am currently only available to do a 6:30am Bride only application at your location at your church in Seven Hills. I expect your make up to take about 90 minutes that day which leaves minimal time to accommodate the rest of your party and be completed by 9:45am.
Bride only rate is $275.00, a false lash strip is included and an additional individual lash charge of $25.00 has been included in this quote. If you would like to move forward with this plan I would be happy to have a beauty contract over to you this evening.
Thank you for the consideration to be a part of your special day. Have a wonderful rest of your day."
Prior to this email, she had asked me to confirm the time of my wedding- possibly because she had another request for that same day with more money offered on the table.
Again, no $75 deduction mentioned. She was by no means "upfront and honest".
If she is allowed to charge $50 to travel to me I should be allowed to ask for travel reimbursement as well as the cost of the trial. I deserve $100 for travel and the cost of the trial ($75+tip). But at the very minimum, I will accept the $75 visa gift card.
I would hate for any bride to experience what I had to go through with [redacted] which is why I am leaving reviews. This should be the happiest time of my life, I should not be going through all of this right now.
Regards,

My name is [redacted] from the Bridal Beauty business, LindsayLondon. I received a complaint #10725082 from a client that I recently encountered in the beginning of July.
My reputation in the industry is head of the class so encountering such a matter with a complaint from this...

client is heartbreaking.
I had been communicating with this client regarding her upcoming 10/10 wedding day. She did not have a formal contract or commitment from my business. Yes she was quoted our minimum on location party of Bride plus 5 for the rates of $150/$85 per Bridesmaid. We also have a bride only rate of $250.00.
After meeting with the client it was apparent that our communication with each other wasn't clear. The client never expressed the importance of her brows as they looked like they had never been groomed. She had many fine hairs which in my professional opinion is uncomfortable for the client to tweeze and a separate service in its self. I showed her her make up and explained that a brow wax would be included for her complimentary for her wedding day. She then began to cry because they were not sculpted like how they would be on her wedding day. I then proceeded to shape her brows which is a $20 service to make her satisfied. She apologized by saying "I'm sorry- sometimes I freak out" there were other points within our trial that became red flags and made me question her emotional stability. Like the placement of eyeliner which her "witness" then critiqued and made me feel uncomfortable because I wasn't understanding what they were talking about. I have been in the industry long enough to know that if a clients very particular or high strung at a trial that the wedding day will be magnified.
Trial runs are a $75 non refundable service that usually lasts 60-90 minutes, her time ran over but I was happy to deem necessary for the appointment. The client left paying the $75 by check plus an additional $10.00 tip. The next day I received an email stating that she was so happy with her make up and that after trials with 5 different artists my application was the best.
I absolutely love what I do and pride myself on going above and beyond for a clients experience. This was the first time in 15 years that I thought that this would be a client that I would not be able to make happy. After the congratulations about choosing me I then received a Second email with requests from her and her fiancé that she needed more blush, a Jlo glow, more volume with her lashes and questioned the Color of her foundation. My professional opinion was that on the day of her wedding which was an early completion time, that I would not be able to complete her make up in the time frame given to have her stay on schedule and that of the rest of her bridal party from the demeanor of her "witness" would be just as particular with the make up applications on the day of the wedding.
That's when I expressed to the client my concerns and that before signing a contract that she was being quoted our bride only rate of $250 plus an additional $25 charge for lashes because of her request for the additional volume in product that would be needed. I would usually deduct the trial amount ($75) on the day of the wedding and a brow wax and facial treatment was also included for her($100 value) I was upfront and honest with her before officially putting her in a contract.
Being a part of a brides special day is the upmost honor. I felt that the client was going to need much more tending to than the average bride.
In regards to her request for reimbursement of her trial, this is where I would like to speak with you. I'm not comfortable paying her the requested $100 especially for pain and suffering. As a business owner and someone that truly loves what she does, I have equally been as distraught with this client. I have one email stating her request and explained that trials are just as much of an investment in time and product for my business like her traveling from Westlake. She also stated that she be reimbursed because she only makes $85 a day. Seeing as the client has already put out negative reviews with the Revdex.com and the theknot.com I am Leary of making a full refund because she was happy with her look and at the time I was available for her wedding day.. And I don't put it past her to go further with more sabotaging. Through our obvious dispute I withdrew my availability.
Would 50% of the $75 trial be acceptable, at most I will reimburse the full $75 in a Visa gift card form but that is to be done with the client and to next time go with my gut feeling earlier in the communication process.
Please accept my apologies for this long message. I'd love to speak with someone further on the most professional way to dispute this claim. I would also like to include a photo of the client to show that her brows looked wonderful once I gave her an additional $20 service to shape them.
Thank you again for your time. Have a wonderful rest of your day!
Sincerely,
