Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Mr [redacted] : You have left way too many questions unanswered – either you or your attorney needs to answer these questions: Over weeks ago, you said you were going to call the other roofers whose phone numbers we gave you in order to clarify what caused our roof damage – our [redacted] vsyour roof installationWhy haven’t you called them? Do you “not want to hear the facts” they have to tell you? Why have you not responded to the other roofers’ claims that your crew made the “valley cut” too low, which contributed to our roof damage? You say “I can not do any more for Mr [redacted] than I have offered.” Since other contractors tell us not to do what you have offered (namely put shingles back on a flat roof), we have asked you to give us your price to install the right roofingWhy have you at least not done that? That’s not even asking for anything for “free” – it’s simply asking for you to do the job like everyone else says it should be done You say “I did try to help solve the problem by doing the repairs caused by his [redacted] at my cost.” In your previous message, you wrote that you quoted us $to do the repair and put shingles back on the roof – how is that at your cost? That is the same amount that other roofers with whom we aren’t under warranty would charge (though none of them recommend doing the repair that way because they say we would end up with the same problem again!) What about the statements you made that we “wanted to do a new roof exactly like we were taking off” and that I “wanted no changes and no upcharges”? We never said these things to you – why did you say this? What about Matt telling us in April that our roof “checked out” and that the moisture we were seeing was due to condensation? That moisture was in the exact same area as our current leak and was present before the [redacted] repaired the holeIf the person named Matt that inspected our roof in April was Matt Andrews, we have been told that he is not an experienced roofer, but works primarily with gutters and sidingRegardless of who you sent to inspect our roof in April though, that person missed the roof leak; and, as a result, we have more damage than we would have had if he would have caught the leak in With regards to my son asking why you didn’t fix the hole in the gutter board when the roof was installed, he asked about it because he thought it was odd how fixated you were on the gutter board repair, how you said we should have called you to fix the hole instead of the [redacted] ; yet neither your crew in nor Matt in made any mention of the holeRegarding wanting something done for “free,” the issue at hand is a warranty repairIf we thought our [redacted] caused the damage, we would pay for the repair ourselvesBased on what FOUR other roofers tell us though, the damage was not caused by our [redacted] , but was a result of your company’s improper roof installationDespite YOUR efforts to “continuously dodge the issue” and “not want to hear the facts,” we insist on holding you accountable for the warranty that your company advertised when the roofs were installedMr [redacted] , you are the one that is “trying to find any reason not to pay for his mistake.” Regarding your comment that “I have never left a problem unsolved to my customers satisfaction,” this hyperbole can easily be disproved by looking up online reviewsBut more importantly, as we’ve said before, “actions speak louder than words” - if you really do stand by your work as much as you talk about it, you would at the least pick up the phone and call the other contractors like you said you wouldWe are still requesting that you work with us to come up with a fair resolution to this issueBecause you are the company that installed our roof, because other roofers say that your improper roof installation is to blame for our current damage, because we paid you over $30,for roof installations in 2012, and because we expect you to stand by the quality of your work as well as your advertised warranty, we insist that you take some responsibility for the roof damage – it is only fairIf you continue to avoid answering the important questions we have raised and are unwilling to work with us on coming up with a fair solution, your responses to our Revdex.com complaint will remain grossly inadequateSincerely, [redacted] Regards, [redacted]
