Product not applied correctly - product is failing and not aesthetically appealing. Damage has been done to trailer skin
After 4 trips in and 12 days, my horse trailer is a complete wreck. The job was not done correctly the first time, and has only gotten worse since. The first time in, a thin coating (.050") was sprayed over the large trailer graphics, which led to immediate coating dis-bondment (Bubbling) Surface preparation was not done properly, in order to achieve a proper anchor profile- you can grab the corner of the coating and easily pull it off. Now they want me to bring it all the way back down from Montana for a fifth attempt at fixing it. No way. It's covered in overspray, the anodizing around the door trim has been scraped off removing the masking, the list goes on. My trailer has been ruined.

LINE-X of Tucson Response • Apr 24, 2019

To whom it may concern,
*** came into our shop for service in January of 2019. When Mr. picked up his trailer there were no issues with the liner. A couple days later he contacted our shop with minor issues, his main concern being some bubbling around a decal area. Line-X holds a Lifetime Warranty for our bed liners which covers any lifts, bubbles or cracks. We asked him to come in at his earliest convenience, but before we were able to treat the liner Mr. lifted and removed the bubbled area causing more damage. Every-time Mr. brought in his trailer he needed a turnaround time of about 1-2 days. We had several other appointments scheduled during that time so we attempted to repair the trailer in his time frame the best we could. I witnessed my team working late nights to resolve the issue on the trailer with no overtime pay. We have a method we use on bubble repairs but with the bubble area being removed by Mr. we had to rebuild the area which caused more issues than before. The heat from our product was causing the aluminum to flex back and forth causing issues of thickness and texture. When Mr. returned to get his trailer we explained to him all the issues we had faced, he left with no comment on the issues. We would work on the trailer again but Mr. was leaving out of town, we had run out of time. We offered Mr. a partial refund for his trouble or to come back for a final attempt. Mr. did not want a refund and refused to come back. If there are any questions or concerns feel free to contact us.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Somehow Line-X is turning this around on me. The statements made in their response is compromised of half truths and pure lies. After I originally picked up the trailer and got it home, I could see the large factory graphics through the thinly applied Line-X. I called Line-X of Tucson with my findings. They ASSURED me that the factory decals had been removed prior to application. The next day in the sun, the entire side bubbled. I cut open a 2"x2" bubble and sure enough- Decal! They lied about removing it. There was no way to "Repair the bubble" because it was applied over a decal- a practice that is prohibited in their own operation procedures. I gave them 3 additional chances to repair the trailer, and they only made it worse. I am from out of town, we were in the area on vacation to ride horses- 12 days riding wasted while they continued to ruin my trailer. They requested a 4th attempt to repair the damage they had done, at this point they had damaged the sheet metal and made poor attempts to repair it with filler. However, I had to return to work out of state. This is my "Refusal" to bring it back. The lies in their reply, and the attempt to put this back on me shows just how ethical Line-X of Tucson is. A partial refund? Why would I take a partial refund on the $1300 paid, when they have done several thousands of dollars in damage? I have photo documented the entire process, including lack of proper surface preparation. You can literally peel off the coating like a band aid. Please check out the photos I have posted to their social media site. Had they done it right the first time, none of this would have happened. They attempted to rush through the project, and skip important surface preparation procedures. Very disappointed with franchise of Line-x.
