I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10712262, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint
[The response states they "made a good faith effort to check the leak I declined and then the transaction was over." If you look in the notes of the receipt it states what I was told: "that the refrigerant was low" (I should have also been told about the leak at that time) , then that "refrigerant was added" and I had to stop them, then that I was informed about the leak (had I not asked how it was going and then found out about the leak he would have continued to fill my empty 9.xx unit wastefully)and needed to be leak checked ( I asked him, when he told me there was a leak, where the leak was, thinking he fixed itI asked him why he didn't fix it before putting in all that refrigerant, he said it takes time to find a leak and couldn't do that right now (I had someone look at the unit for a leak to have a second opinion of the length of time it would take to locate the leak, it took 15/minutesThis is less then the time it took Larry to put refrigerant inThis person and a few others that I spoke with agreed that he should have fixed the leak before putting in refrigerant or at least told me of the leak at the time of reporting the low refrigerant)So, no, Larry the tech, did not offer to fix the leak while he was there, he said he would have to do that at another time and the transaction was overThis did not seem like honest or good business practice, so yes, when they called later that day to set up a leak check, I declined, not believing this company to handle themselves in an honest and trustworthy mannerYes, they gave my father a $refund to give to me because of my father being a good customer, but it is my belief that since Larry put in all that refrigerant prior to telling me about the leak that I should be reimbursed in full as they wastefully put in 5lbs of refrigerant that I will need to pay to have replenished (along with whatever it takes to fill the unit) once someone honest repairs the leak.]

Responding to this complaint [redacted] authorized the work & transaction which is attached.We made a good faith effort to go and check  [redacted] unit for the leak but, she declined on 7/03/2015 and the transaction was complete. Dispatch called the same day concerned...

about the leak and, ask to fix the leak yet she declined on 7/3/15. Responded to dispatch that [redacted] regular AC Tech is on vacation and, will be back on 7/15/2015 to take care of any issues and leak check the unit. [redacted] came in to the office 7/13/2015 at 8am requesting a full refund which we explained that she authorized this transaction. Ms. [redacted]'s father [redacted] which is a great customer of ours for years came in the office asking for a resolution we went over the invoice we went over the note showing that [redacted] authorized this transaction. As Mr. [redacted] is a good customer of our we offered a 200.00 refund which he accepted.
