Review: Link Mechanical under designed a boiler and heating system for my new 6000 sq ft home. We were very careful durning our home restoration project since it was a very large project. We put all the quotes out to bid. Out of the 3 vendors that bid Link was the best price and after doing research they seem to have a good reputation. Once we moved in(December) we soon realized that the heating system could not handle the heat for the house alone, never mind the hot water demand. After further investigation we realized that the boiler they provisioned was not adequate enough to handle just our heat demand. We moved in just before Christmas Holiday and suffered with inadequate heat and barely enough hot water to take a shower. During this time the inadequate $15,000.00 boiler plus associated cost to install it was being overworked to try and keep up. After many many calls (1week without answering) and begging for the Link Team to come out and take a look and diagnose the issue they came out and at first denied that there was anything wrong with the unit they provisioned. After showing them the other competitive bids and pointing out that there unit they put in was less than the one other certified professionals had recommended they admitted the error they made and promised to get it fixed before New Years Eve(we had a large party planned 100 people and many family members staying with us from out of town).They did not come through on their promise. [redacted] himself promised to remediate the issue before New Years Eve and he did not. After many calls he told me he could not get the new units shipped in time. It is apparent he did nothing about it between Christmas and New Years. My plumber called around frantically and said he could get units that were adequate. Of course I am seriously considering paying for my entire system over again. I am sure he [redacted] had heat and hot water for his family through the holidays??? This company should not be trusted.Desired Settlement: A complete refund and payment for personal damages to my home, wasted expenses paid to associated plumbers, wasted time paid to my contractor and my family.

We apologize whole heartedly for our part of the confusion and miscommunication on this large renovation / construction project.
We have put together and executed a plan with the general contractor (who is running the job), the plumber and the home owners to address the extra domestic hot water needs of the house and additional heating capacity for the future pool room.
As of 01/30/14 a second boiler with matching indirect water heater have been installed and are operating. Only some minor programming and adjustments need to be made to the boilers by the factory rep to have them running at peak efficiency.
The punch list of minor items (air cleaners, thermostats, humidifiers, grilles, etc) has been completed. We are waiting for the general contractor to finish the concrete pads for the AC units. As soon as that happens we will set the units charge, start and test the AC systems.
