Mr***, I apologize the delivery did not live up to your expectationsAt the time of the delivery we were asked to deliver but not install the appliance(s)The party responsible for installation would
need to come out to correct their work or determine if the unit is defectiveOur confirmation set up the manufacturer to order a replacement which is what Linn Star brought out You requested compensation of $due to the issues with the applianceSince we did not do the installation and the fact that this was a defective unit we will not be offering any type of compensation

Ms. [redacted],     We apologize we have not been able to come to an agreement. Per discussions to the damage in your home the matter was considered resolved with the acceptance of the $200 bid to repair the wall by a 3rd party contractor of your choosing and Linn Star’s agreement to pay...

for the damage. Regarding the kitchen utensils and cooking implements I am sorry to say that we are not able to reimburse for those. As a company we do a 30-minute pre-call to alert you to our coming to complete a delivery. According to your point of purchase this time is to be used to prep the appliance for removal as well as clearing the path for delivery. In this instance the cooking implements were left in the range which should have been cleared out. The adult that was present never alerted the delivery crew to the fact the cooking tools were in the range at the time they were taking it out of the home to complete the install of the new range. Had they done so the delivery crew would have paused with the old range outside of the installation area so it could have been cleared out. All old appliances are scrapped that evening when the delivery crews return to the warehouse and after that point anything in the appliance is not retrievable. Given that the point of purchase expects customers to have cleared out before the old appliance is taken out of the home we are not able to pay for the lost cooking implements. Linn Star agreed to pay the original claim of $200 for the damage to the property but we unfortunately aren’t able to pay for anything left in old appliances as it is the customer’s responsibility to have emptied out anything that is being taken away for de-manufacturing. -- Jon [redacted]

Mr. [redacted], According to the documentation LST did not complete the installation, because of this we wouldn't be responsible for checking if the appliance ran correctly. With the defective unit LST is not able to do anything about compensation for your appliance, that goes back to the manufacturer as it was an issue caused by them. As a delivery agent we are only ever allowed to mark off if we delivered and if we installed the appliances. From that point on we aren't allowed to do anything with the account, such as compensation. In this instance the appliance was defective and LST can't speak for the manufacturer and can't compensate. For these reasons we are rejecting your request for compensation from us as a company. Thank you,Jon [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:I'm not looking for compensation because of the defective unit; I'm looking for compensation because of the 4 attempts it took to get the unit replaced. Once they just didn't show up, two other times they got lost and didn't call for help.  And finally the last time they came out, looked at it, confirmed it was broken, and then had to set up another apptappoint to replace. Each time my tenant had to take 4 hours off of work, and I ended up compensating him for his time. Ultimately giving him the whole months nrent for free. This is a business I'm running and because of your company my $1100 washer/dryer turned into a $2000 dryer and he terminated his lease. It's just a shoddy way to run a business.
