Mr [redacted] has had this vehicle in prior to have service work on it.  When it was brought in on 09/06/17 the complaint was not of starting issues.  The complaint was issues with lights on dash.  We let him know that there would be a diagnostic fee to determine the problem but that the...

fee would be deducted from any repair made.  We checked the battery and cleaned the terminal ends.  The cost of this service was then deducted from the total cost of the diagnostic fee.  Customer was not charged for work that was not completed because of the discount in the diagnostic fee from what was originally agreed upon.  Please let me know if there is any additional information needed.  I have attached the copies of the service repair orders.

I am rejecting this response because:Ms. [redacted], After repairs done in August 2017, I returned my truck because it would idle smoothly for about 20 minutes and then stall.  When I tried to restart my truck, the starter and battery worked fine but the motor would not start.  The battery is in good condition and cleaning the terminals was not why the lights were out on that one occasion.  Because, I found out later that if I waited 30 minutes after stalling the truck would restart and stall after 20 minutes again.  The business is incorrect in stating that that my complaint was only about the lights.  I had also brought the truck in because of the stalling problem.  I don't recall any diagnostic fee ever being discussed with me then. I brought my truck back to the business in September 2017 for the stalling problem.  Since then the business has failed to proceed with working on my truck.  That is what my complaint is about.  If they aren't going to repair my truck, then they should return it to me in the same condition as it was received and there should be no charges. Thanks,[redacted]
