Revdex.com Complaint: *** We also contacted *** *** *** in Round Rock at *** and spoke to *** *** who is a Master Certified Mitsubishi Technician He confirmed that the transmission cooling system is air cooled and has no water in it He sent us the attached information detailing the air cooled transmission system and confirmed that the only way for water to get into this system was if someone put water in it or the vehicle was parked in an area of flooding We record all phone calls coming in and going out We have separate phone calls with the customer that we’d be happy to share with a Revdex.com mediator or arbitrator Listening to these calls will confirm our position that the customer was informed before any work was done that this was not going to be covered under warranty On February 17, 2017, the customer was informed that the repairs would not be covered under warranty and the cost to repair would be between $and $ The customer then authorized the repairs. I understand the customer’s frustration but our warranty does not cover sabotage or flooding We are willing to discount the repairs down to $(tax included) and issue a new month / 36,mile warranty We are also willing to deliver the vehicle to the customer’s business address once payment has been secured. *** ***Eagle Transmission

Customer: *** ***ID# *** We did in fact perform a transmission overhaul on this customer’s vehicle (Mitsubishi Fuso Cab Over Box Truck) in August of and gave him a year / 36,mile warranty When the customer brought this vehicle back into our shop in February of
2017, we found that the transmission was contaminated with water which is not covered under our warranty We were very clear in informing the customer that somehow water got into his transmission by flood or someone putting water into it Either way, the repairs would not be covered under warranty The customer told *** the manager that sometimes this truck is parked in a deep loading dock where water sometimes rises above the tires The customer was also informed that this transmission has it’s own air cooled cooling system which has no water in it Therefore the cooling system could not have put the water into the transmission The customer was also informed that the repairs would cost him between $and $ The customer authorized us to proceed with the repairs Once the repairs were complete, we contacted the customer to let him know his truck was ready He asked how much he owes and we told him the price of $which included tax He then told *** the manager that he did not think he should pay and that we should cover the repairs under warranty I personally called the customer and offered a discount but he said he would not pay anything We would never have begun any repairs without the customer being informed of a best and worst case cost scenario and having him authorize the repairs We would welcome the opportunity to take this issue to mediation or arbitration. Sincerely,*** ***OwnerEagle Transmission

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: There is no water contamination from outside sources. The water contamination came from a separate and all contained cooling unit that the fluid line passes through in order to cool the transmission unit. This fact was confirmed by Mr*** ***, of the Eagle Transmission management, in person and over the phone, upon my persistent inquiry and insistence, but only toward the very end of my interfacing with the Eagle Transmission management. After communicating this fact to me over the phone, and upon my insistence with having the vehicle repaired under their year, 36,mile warranty and at no extra cost to me, all that I received in promise from Mr*** was a vague statement, "I'll do the best I can on that" statement. Then he hit me with another $4,repair bill. After reflecting back over the whole incident, I have come to conclude that this fact was intentionally withdrawn from me for several weeks, while the Eagle Transmission management made their numerous attempts, using evasive and misinformation tactics in both of their actions and wording, in attempts to persuade me in taking the vehicle out of their shop and attempt the repair at other repair shops, so that they did not have to be responsible for the repair of the vehicle this time around.Days after the vehicle was brought into their shop, Mr*** reached me over the phone and stated that there was water inside the transmission unit, and the remedy for this condition was to attempt a transmission fluid flush, in his words, "many" flushes, so that to take as much water out of the system as possible. I asked why they would not perform that service themselves, as a transmission repair shop, and instead wanted me to find another transmission service shop such as Quicklube, that would provide this type of service on my vehicle MrKilpatrick's response was they did not have the proper equipment in their shop because, "We don't recommend the transmission flush service except when there is water inside the transmission" and, "We don't have the money to buy this $10K equipment that would be sitting there and not being used as often as we could like" Imagine these comments coming from a supposedly bona fide transmission repair shop...Upon researching in the Internet, I have found numerous articles from transmission experts all across the land that, the only time the transmission fluid flush can not be attempted as a repair method is when there is water inside, because it simply does not work! And just about the only remedy when water gets into a transmission unit is to have it rebuilt from scratch again.Mr*** then made me find the *** shop telephone number down street from them and contact them for the repair service. My *** contact did not even wait for me to finish explain my case, and immediately referred me back to the Eagle Transmission shop, when I mentioned the reason I requested transmission fluid flush service was because of water in the unit. I went back to the Eagle Transmission shop, told Mr*** of the quick rejection from his competitor. Mr*** then, literally, for the remainder of his busy afternoon, he took upon himself, out of his very busy afternoon, and proceeded to, use his professional contacts list, attempted to reach dozens of other transmission repair shops himself, in order to persuade them to provide the needed "Transmission fluid flush service" so that water could be taken out from the system in my vehicle, all the while, with my Internet search over the subject, expressed the other way around
Upon my determination and insistence with finding the cause for water inside the system, Mr*** finally admitted, over my many phone inquiries, to look further into the matter, then several weeks later, admitted that his technicians found a cooling fluid leak from the all contained system into the system and caused the system to be in need to another rebuild, then, still several days later, came up with another repair bill of $4,800, plus tax, all the while claiming, "you made us do it!"I am dumbfounded with the use of such a blatant denial, evasive and deception tactics by a so claimed reputable business in the Austin area to avoid their lawful responsibilities. I fully expect the justice to be made and the repair to be covered in whole by the Eagle Transmission ship management. In order to help in my quest to find the truth behind the cause of transmission failure, I reached out to a local Mitsubishi dealer, the *** *** ***, *** *** *** *** *** ** ***, for assistance with devising possibilities that water could have gotten into the transmission unit that caused the unit to fail, which started this entire incident several weeks ago I spoke this afternoon with a representative named *** *** from the *** *** *** in Round Rock, who brought up the scenario that that rain water could have gotten into the system through a leak in the transmission cooling unit on the vehicle
