We did not receive the permit, but figured he had it. Texting back and forth shows that on August 8th Mr*** asked me if he needed to file for the building permit. I answered yes. Friday August 11th he asked about how we pour concrete , to which we answered him. Thursday
August 17th my text to him if he had decided on a concrete man. He responded that he was waiting on a proposal from Townescapes, but was still leaning our way. On Monday On Monday August 21st he asked when are we breaking ground. On Tuesday August 22nd, I explained to him that my excavator blew an engine. It will not be this week. Then asked him how is estimate from *** *** was goingOn August 25th, he said that he has his concrete man, and asked when we could start. We replied that we would hopefully be able to start the week of Labor Day. August 29th, he asked what day can we start. This was the period of time when his concrete man and *** *** called me. Sept 5th, Labor Day week, his text to me was to please give him a call when I have a chance. He did not want me to start. September 7th he said he was heading in a different direction, buying a boat! Om September 13th, we issued a check for $with a breakdown list of our expenses subtracted from the $3,deposit. We are stuck with his custom pool liner. When I calculated it, I did not realize that the sun deck should have also been subtracted. Our loss is an additional $1,more. We are still willing to send the check as before. If Mr*** wants the custom liner and special sundeck, we can deliver it to him. We are also willing and able to build him a pool.Sincerely,Dave Lipps

On 6-15-2015 we replaced the broken ropes per our proposed agreement
for [redacted] and [redacted].  Also we
cleaned up all the salt mineral build up blocking the rope guides.  Last we ran the cover on and off several
times and left the cover working properly.
On...

6-30-2015 Lipps Pool and Spa returned to the [redacted] to address [redacted]
concern that the cover was not closing straight.  We adjusted the ropes per the manufactures guidelines.
Next we opened and closed the cover several times.  When we left, the cover was working perfectly
as it was the first trip out.  On 7-20-2015
we returned again per customer claim that the cover was not closing straight
again.  We opened and closed the cover
several times and the cover was closing properly per manufactures specs.  The ropes on the automatic cover wind up randomly
like a garden hose winding up on a hose reel, randomly falling left to right
onto the reel.  The ropes will never roll
up the same way every time, thus leaving a small gap on either left or right side
of the cover every time.   If you run the cover open to close a few times
you will notice the inconsistency and see that the cover will sometimes close
perfectly and other times it will close leaving a very small gap.  Also make sure you don’t slap the cover
closed it has a recoil that can also cause the cover to jump back and leave a
gap.  We have spoken to the cover
manufacture and they said if the cover keeps closing with a small opening then
you can try and trick the cover by taking a small piece of rope and bend it in
a V shape under the rope on the reel and this will make the cover rope shorter
on that side and may make it look straighter when closed.  When I ask if this was a permanent fix they
replied no due to the ropes rolling up inconsistently and is normal to have
small gaps between the leading edge and the coping, which is why they provide
the thin bumper attached to the end of the cover.  In conclusion, all proposed work to replace
the ropes has been completed and the cover has closed property every time we’ve
been out.  If you would like additional
service work please call the shop and we can set up a work order.
Thank you for your business,

To whom it concerns;
We opened Mr. [redacted]’s pool on April 30, 2015.   Our service technician removed the winter
cover, removed winterizing equipment from skimmer and jets, installed baskets,
installed pressure gauge, sight glass, and plugs on filter, installed...

pump
plugs, installed heater plug, checked the valves and other plumbing for visible
deficiencies, installed ladder/handrails, and added the appropriate opening
chemicals for his pool, which are chlorine shock and algaecide.  The technician started the pump, but the pump would not prime.  Without water running through the system, the
pool heater will not work.  The customer
was aware of this while we were opening his pool.  Mr. [redacted] stated that he wanted to leave the pump
running, in hopes that it would catch prime on its own like it did in the past.  Mr. [redacted] paid a discounted price of $[redacted] total using a [redacted] credit card on
April 30, 2015.  The pool opening fee (regularly
$[redacted]) includes opening the pool only.  Any
job taking longer than one hour will be charged an additional $** per quarter
hour.  This is all spelled out in the
detailed confirmation letter that each of our customers receives upon
scheduling an appointment for a pool opening.
Our service technician was at Mr. [redacted]’s pool from 5:20pm to 6:30pm,
which is more than one hour.  We informed
Mr. [redacted] that if the heater is inoperable once he waited for his pump to
prime, he could call us to schedule a separate work order for $**/hour plus the
cost of any parts needed.
Sincerely,
Lipps Pool & Spa, Inc.
