Review: I was given a quote to replace the lettering on my awning by [redacted]. He was working in tandem with a cleaning company, and told me that he could do the job. He required a 50% deposit and a copy of my logo. I had the awning cleaned, based on my ability to replace the lettering. After paying for the cleaning, I agreed to the terms of john's proposal. He now tells me he can't do the job.I find this to be very unethical and I also question his business practices.I believe that [redacted] gave me a false quote to ensure that his friend would get the cleaning job, while having no intention of fulfilling his proposal. I am left with half removed lettering and no way of replacing them.Desired Settlement: I would like him to do the job as he proposed. I think that the Revdex.com should also look at the ethics of companies who recommend and work in tandem with other companies, and mislead the public about their options.

Liquid Canvas provides pricing to

perspective customers about 5-10 times per day. We provide this service for

free in the hopes of generating future business. We also provide referrals,

suppliers, contacts, phone numbers, stores and any advice that can help with

any canvas or awning needs. We do this for free and are happy to do so.

Said individual was provided with an

original price for applying graphics to his awning. He was also provided with a

referral for an awning cleaning company we have referred over the years as we

do not provide any awning cleaning services whatsoever. Weeks later, he was

again provided with four to six more separate prices for the specialized

services he requested. We were also advised by said individual that he had

received bids for the same work from four other contractors and we should keep

our prices competitive.

No work order, contract, or invoice was

ever generated for said individual. We have never met this individual nor have

we visited the work site for the proposed work. We have never even scheduled an

estimate with this individual.

Liquid Canvas reluctantly reserves the

right to refuse service to any perspective customer. After not hearing from

said individual for additional weeks our backlog became extremely long and

workload increased exponentially. When this individual finally decided to

order, we promptly informed him of our other obligations and again referred

another contractor. This time referring one who specialized in awning signage.

Said individual has never been a customer

of Liquid Canvas and no work order was ever generated. No deposit was ever

provided for this or any other work from this individual. Although suggesting

we work "in tandem" with any other company is inaccurate, we will

continue to provide referrals, prices, vendors, wholesalers and even other

awning companies who may better serve the public than Liquid Canvas. And we

will continue to do it for free, as we have for the past twelve years.
