After consulting with my lawyer, there is no illegal practice by charging the upfront $ [redacted] nominal fee for a one-on-one meeting with our organizational representatives This is communicated up front when we express an interest in a talent for potential representation Ms [redacted] has opted to not pay the fee and was afforded the opportunity to attend an open call at no charge Additionally, I did reach out to Ms [redacted] on December 7th; however, at no time were other calls made to her number My outreach was positioned merely to educate her on how our market works in [redacted] as she noted that she had worked in another market previously Further, she provided her number to me as part of the application process for potential representation; therefore, my professional outreach efforts were with information she provided and were under the auspices of educating her on this matter It should be noted that she did not return my telephone call/voicemail message All of her allegations are pure conjecture and should be considered such accordingly At Liquid, we maintain a high level of professionalism and pride ourselves on ethics and integrity I am considering this matter closed, and as I have repeatedly done in the past, I wish Ms [redacted] the best in her future endeavors[redacted]

Greetings *** -
I
left a few messages for you today to discuss Revdex.com Complaint ID: *** - *** *** Interestingly, I met with Ms*** today prior to receiving your letters. I cannot say where the letters have been but both were received by my office today after Ms*** visit
I'm sure you are aware that businesses run based on schedules and demands for their operations. With that said, my operation runs on an appointment basis. Ms*** had an appointment on 4/2/16; however, she was unable to keep that appointment due to transportation issues she experienced. Ms*** applied for representation on March 25th and was extended an invitation for a meeting on March 26th at which time she chose the April 2nd dateGiven other client commitments, we hold "new faces meetings" on dates and times that are conducive to the success of our business operation. That being said, April 2, April 9, April 20, and April 23 are the current dates for such meetings this month. Again, this is at my discretion and based upon the demands from other parties
Since Ms*** was not able to attend April 2nd, I extended her an invitation to attend another session based on the fact that she had paid the fee. I also said I would be able to SKYPE with her at a different time if that worked best with her schedule. She has repeatedly called and emailed regarding the meeting, and was afforded the opportunity to meet with me personally today
Therefore, this claim has been resolved, and no further interaction with the Revdex.com is necessary. I have asked Ms*** to follow up and provide you with the same information. Please note that we do not feel that it is in the best interest of either party to move forward at this time based on the notations within her complaint. I was flabbergasted to receive your letter after having the meeting with her and did call her to discuss. By no means should anyone work with individuals, per Ms*** perception, who are "rude an nasty (sic);" therefore, the offer of representation has been withdrawn. I also told her I would refund her $fee, even though I did fulfill my commitment via the meeting with her todayIf you have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am also copying Ms*** on this correspondence so that she can express resolution of the claim through this channel if she desires to do soDrSheri B*** *** ***

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.? For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I was never told about any free open call.? I politely refused to pay the fee, but politely and professionally stated I would be happy to be contacted by Liquid Talent if they ever had any need for someone with my looks or talent.?
I believe Liquid Talent is taking advantage of people in a smaller market like [redacted] that may not have the professional experience I have to know better than to pay upfront fees to any agency.? A simple internet search will show many results from industry professionals saying this kind of practice is unethical, at best.? The advice is always to run in the other direction, and never pay any upfront fees.? I am not alone in this thinking.Yesterday at 4:50pm,? I received a phone call with a message from Sheri B[redacted] expressing her displeasure that I filed a complaint with the Revdex.com.? I find it very unprofessional, and disturbing that she contacted me at a phone number that was given in confidence, and with me expecting to only receive phone calls if I were to be hired, or signed with her agency.? I also received other calls yesterday from a blocked phone number, of which were after 9pm at night.? I do not know for certain these calls were also from
Regards,Sheri B[redacted], but I do find it coincidental, and disturbing they came right after her angry phone call.My wish is for this unethical practice to be discontinued

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
For the second time, I was NOT told about any "free" open call I could attend  I just looked over the email I received in response to my submission, just to make sure.  All I was told about was having to pay $25.00 just to be interviewed.  As far as needing to be "educated" by [redacted] on how the Virginia market works, I am a Virginia NATIVE.   I worked here in a professional capacity for 10 years BEFORE moving to Los Angeles.  It was not considered, and is still not considered to be ethical for an agency to EVER charge any upfront fees just in order to meet with talent.  As I have stated before, if you are in any doubt, do any simple internet search and you will be advised against ever paying any fees such as those requested by [redacted].  Also as stated in my last response, when I give my personal phone number in connection with seeking employment or representation, I do NOT expect to receive any phone call unless it's to be told I am hired, or because the potential employer is seeking more information to help determine if they wish to hire me.  I do not expect to receive phone call because that person has a grudge, is angry, or thinks they can "educate" me on the market I worked over a decade in.
Also, a practice being legal still does not mean it is normal, or ethical.
Regards,

[redacted]

Greetings [redacted] - I left a few messages for you today to discuss Revdex.com Complaint ID: [redacted] - [redacted]  Interestingly, I met with Ms. [redacted] today prior to receiving your letters.  I cannot say where the letters have been but both were received by my office today after Ms....

[redacted] visit.  I'm sure you are aware that businesses run based on schedules and demands for their operations.  With that said, my operation runs on an appointment basis.  Ms. [redacted] had an appointment on 4/2/16; however, she was unable to keep that appointment due to transportation issues she experienced.  Ms. [redacted] applied for representation on March 25th and was extended an invitation for a meeting on March 26th at which time she chose the April 2nd date.Given other client commitments, we hold "new faces meetings" on dates and times that are conducive to the success of our business operation.  That being said, April 2, April 9, April 20, and April 23 are the current dates for such meetings this month.  Again, this is at my discretion and based upon the demands from other parties.  Since Ms. [redacted] was not able to attend April 2nd, I extended her an invitation to attend another session based on the fact that she had paid the fee.  I also said I would be able to SKYPE with her at a different time if that worked best with her schedule.  She has repeatedly called and emailed regarding the meeting, and was afforded the opportunity to meet with me personally today.  Therefore, this claim has been resolved, and no further interaction with the Revdex.com is necessary.  I have asked Ms. [redacted] to follow up and provide you with the same information.  Please note that we do not feel that it is in the best interest of either party to move forward at this time based on the notations within her complaint.  I was flabbergasted to receive your letter after having the meeting with her and did call her to discuss.  By no means should anyone work with individuals, per Ms. [redacted] perception, who are "rude an nasty (sic);" therefore, the offer of representation has been withdrawn.  I also told her I would refund her $25 fee, even though I did fulfill my commitment via the meeting with her today. If you have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.  I am also copying Ms. [redacted] on this correspondence so that she can express resolution of the claim through this channel if she desires to do so.Dr. Sheri B[redacted]
