Review: I purchased a Rainbow Vacuum on Dec. 6th 2013. Because I was lied to about the warranty, I cancelled the sale within the 3 day time frame by certified mail with return receipt. I called the sales rep, called the number on my paperwork and to this day the number just rings and then it says voicemail full. I called a different branch and spoke with 2 people that assured me someone would call me to return my money and cancel the sale with the finance company. No one called. I called the finance company who told me there was nothing they could do until they were notified by the seller. I sent them copies of my cancellation and my certified receipt as I did with the main company (RexAir) I cancelled on Dec. 9th and it was my understanding that they had 10 days to refund my $556 down payment. Now it is 17 days later and I have not received even a call from anyone much less my down payment. Nor has anyone attempted to pick up the vacuum. On Jan 6 2014 the finance co. (Preferred Credit) will be deducting from my account a payment (I had to sign up for auto deduct to receive the financing) My total amount charged was $2645.00 plus tax with a $556.00 down payment. At the term of the financing I will have paid $3400.00.

I would like the contract cancelled and my $556.00 back. I followed the letter of the law and did all I could to make this happen but to date I have gotten no results or even any acknowledgement that I have cancelled. I believe that my initial cancellation is at the post office saying they "left notice" but it apparently has not been picked up. The finance company and RexAir both received their certified letters. Is there something more that I can do?
