09/30/Revdex.com Jefferson Street NE, Suite A Albuquerque, NM RE: ID *** Dear Revdex.com, Thank you for contacting me and providing an opportunity to explain the situation and address the complaintIn a small community, reputation is everything and I've
worked very hard to maintain a sterling reputationI do have a contract with Ms*** ***I was contracted to complete the following: Fix all water pipes that needed repair; Insulation and drywall on necessary walls; Paint the entire house; Put coil for air conditioner; Install a sink; and Molding in the houseMs*** gave me the following payments: 05/30/$06/13/$07/28/$08/08/$While the contract with Ms*** *** did not specify a date of completion, I did quote that the work would take approximately 4-weeks to completeI began a day after signing the contract, but had to stop work because the electrician needed to complete his work firstThe electrician delayed my work by four weeksI called to inform Ms*** that I could not continue until the electrician completed his part of the workUnfortunately, there were unforeseen delays that were out of my control and Ms*** was well of aware of themThe first was delays from the electrician she hired to complete work prior to me being able to do my workBecause I was not able to do any work for four full weeks during the time the electrician completed his work, Ms*** did not make any payments to me during that timeI was delayed a full four weeks because of the electricianI was also delayed because of a break into the propertyI lost many tools and some materialsI took responsibility for having left my tools at the job site and was still on track to continue to complete my work in the four-six weeksI informed Ms*** there was a break inI informed her that they stole my tools and suppliesI also told her I replaced my tools and supplies at no costs to her or her insuranceAt about two weeks of me actually working on the house, she told me to stop going to her houseShe then told me not to go to her house and posted on Facebook things that were not true about my workI was completing my work professionally and within the time frame estimated given the unforeseen delays of the electricianThe floor is not damagedThere was debris which I and my crew clean up at the end of each of our work dayI am still willing to complete the rest of the work that needs to be done under the contractMs*** was paying as the work was being doneShe would not pay me, during the times I was not doing the work, even though it was not my faultThe payments reflect the work done at the time payments were madeTherefore, I propose that Ms*** allow me back in the house and I can finish the workI will pick up were I left off at the time she told me not to go back to the houseThank you, Oscar L***

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:The information provided by Oscar L*** is absolutely inaccurateOscar was hired to start his work on June 14th and was advised to work around the electrician until he was done completing his workOscar stated that he could work on the plumbing, start ordering products needed and prep the houseThe electrician was done within a week and he was given the go ahead to start all the work on the houseThe payments made were as follows and I have attached the copies of the payments: June 14th, - $4,000June 20th, - $4,000June 28th, - $4,000August 5th, - $2,000Although Oscar kept failing to provide me with proof of the work completed, I kept my end of the agreement by making the paymentsThe reason why he was asking for $4,each week was because he would be done in weeks, which would complete the payment in fullI paid more than 80% of the work and Oscar only completed about 40% of the workHe is still missing the following: - Flooring upstairs- Sheetrock, texture and paint for all of downstairs- Baseboards throughout the entire house- Cabinets, sink and faucets for kitchen- vanity for downstairs bathroom- installation of toilets in all bathrooms- AC units inside and outside- Roof repairs- Installation of all doors- Complete cleanup I have pictures of the house that shows a lot of damage to the floor since Oscar and his team failed to cover the downstairs tile and now there is texture all over the floors, door frames, lights, windows, etcIn addition to this Oscar has caused me to have this house sitting there vacant for months now since the house was to be ready to rent out in the month of July according to his estimate.Oscar also attempted to say that someone had broken into the house, stolen the AC units, along with $5,worth of tools for sheetrockWhen I asked the police department in regards to break ins Oscar had claimed had happened, the police said they found it very hard to believe anyone without a key or without the garage code would have been able to enter the houseThere was only a small hole made in one of the windows and no signs of entry through there as the window was still closed with old dust all over itOscar at that point stated that I would have to pay for the AC units again as he had just installed them the day before (a Saturday after on Friday the house had been inspected and he had not completed anything at that point)I asked him for receipts and he failed to provide themI asked for pictures of the installation and once again he said he didn't take any picturesAt this point I began to doubt the integrity of this person and arranged a call with him where I had a witness and a recording of the call where he asked me to call my insurance to make a claim and that he would have one of his workers lie and say that he was living in the house so that the insurance would pay for the units and his tools that were supposedly stolenWhen I drove to Albuquerque to see this damage he had claimed I found the the units were missing the exact same parts they had had from the start and there was old dust/paint proving that the units had not been touched at all. I do not want this gentleman working on my house as I do not trust him at allI have received numerous calls from people he's worked with in the past and they all have similar storiesIt's very sad to see someone who is supposed to be a professional take advantage of consumers like thisFor the reasons listed above I am asking for Oscar L*** to refund my money and I will not charge him for the loss of rent and the damage he made to my floors, door frames, lights, etc. Regards,
*** *** [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, the consumer must give a reason why they are rejecting the responseIf the consumer does not provide a reason the complaint will be closed Answered]
