Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:The information provided by Oscar L[redacted] is absolutely inaccurate. Oscar was hired to start his work on June 14th and was advised to work around the electrician until he was done completing his work. Oscar stated that he could work on the plumbing, start ordering products needed and prep the house. The electrician was done within a week and he was given the go ahead to start all the work on the house. The payments made were as follows and I have attached the copies of the payments: June 14th, 2016 - $4,000June 20th, 2016 - $4,000June 28th, 2016 - $4,000August 5th, 2016 - $2,000Although Oscar kept failing to provide me with proof of the work completed, I kept my end of the agreement by making the payments. The reason why he was asking for $4,000 each week was because he would be done in 4 weeks, which would complete the payment in full. I paid more than 80% of the work and Oscar only completed about 40% of the work. He is still missing the following: - Flooring upstairs- Sheetrock, texture and paint for all of downstairs- Baseboards throughout the entire house- Cabinets, sink and faucets for kitchen- vanity for downstairs bathroom- installation of toilets in all bathrooms- AC units inside and outside- Roof repairs- Installation of all doors- Complete cleanup I have pictures of the house that shows a lot of damage to the floor since Oscar and his team failed to cover the downstairs tile and now there is texture all over the floors, door frames, lights, windows, etc. In addition to this Oscar has caused me to have this house sitting there vacant for 3 months now since the house was to be ready to rent out in the month of July according to his estimate.Oscar also attempted to say that someone had broken into the house, stolen the AC units, along with $5,000 worth of tools for sheetrock. When I asked the police department in regards to 2 break ins Oscar had claimed had happened, the police said they found it very hard to believe anyone without a key or without the garage code would have been able to enter the house. There was only a small hole made in one of the windows and no signs of entry through there as the window was still closed with old dust all over it. Oscar at that point stated that I would have to pay for the AC units again as he had just installed them the day before (a Saturday after on Friday the house had been inspected and he had not completed anything at that point). I asked him for receipts and he failed to provide them. I asked for pictures of the installation and once again he said he didn't take any pictures. At this point I began to doubt the integrity of this person and arranged a call with him where I had a witness and a recording of the call where he asked me to call my insurance to make a claim and that he would have one of his workers lie and say that he was living in the house so that the insurance would pay for the units and his tools that were supposedly stolen. When I drove to Albuquerque to see this damage he had claimed I found the the units were missing the exact same parts they had had from the start and there was old dust/paint proving that the units had not been touched at all. I do not want this gentleman working on my house as I do not trust him at all. I have received numerous calls from people he's worked with in the past and they all have similar stories. It's very sad to see someone who is supposed to be a professional take advantage of consumers like this. For the reasons listed above I am asking for Oscar L[redacted] to refund my money and I will not charge him for the loss of rent and the damage he made to my floors, door frames, lights, etc.  Regards,
