Ok everyone that wrote a review... I am her latest victim! I paid Lisa upfront for her expertise as well as carpet which I have never received. My home is now ready for carpet and I have to go out and repurchase it. She has not responded to my requests for documents that the carpet was ever purchased and refuses to give me any documents with a valid bill of laden. The carpet was supposed to be stored at a warehouse in Sacramento; however, that company states they do not have my carpet. I recently found out that Lisa lied when she told me she would go down personally to the warehouse and put the project under my name so I could verify whether or not she was telling the truth. That never happened. She jerked me around with her elaborate stories she often tells for 4 MONTHS. She is harming people that are putting their dreams in jeopardy by causing undue stress and financial harm. I originally thought she was just very disorganized, but now I know she is nothing but a con-artist. I am filing a police report and hope she is prosecuted for fraud.
Review: I contracted with [redacted] (aka [redacted]) to provide interior design services for my entire residence. I gave her a check for $1200 on 8/2/13. On 10/3/13 at her request, I wrote her another check for $2085 for several interior design items including two chandeliers, one of which she agreed would be returned and refunded. On 9/24/13 I emailed [redacted] stating I would like a little peace of mind that my dining room would be completed by Thanksgiving - she replied back "not a worry we will be fine". On 10/10/13 [redacted] emailed me stating "everything humming along nicely". Then toward the end of November she stopped responding to my status inquiries. On 11/30/13 I sent [redacted] an email requesting a refund. On 12/2/13 [redacted] sent me a text stating "I will be sending you (sic) refund and having someone also drop off lights..." Since then [redacted] has sent several text and emails stating she was refunding the money, but I have received nothing. Desired Settlement: $1,200.00 refund for services never rendered.$2,085 refund for items never received.
We contracted with Lisa B[redacted] and Jennifer Lindsay @ Surface Design Group in July 2014 for interior design services on our newly purchased home that needed to be remodeled. In September 2014, we paid her in full for all our furniture that she was to order. We also paid her 3/4 of what she was owed for her services. She did not finish the job and did not purchase 75% of the furniture we paid her in full for 8 months ago. In February 2015, she and Jennifer stopped communicating with us and refused to give us our money back for goods not delivered and services not rendered. We filed fraud on our credit cards March 2015 for the furniture that was never purchased by her and got awarded all of that money back (roughly $18,000). We have hired an attorney to start the process to recover the remaining $8,000 she still owes us. She also has a team of workers (paint and carpet) that never made good on services and/or goods. Please do your homework on this company, Lisa and Jennifer before hiring them. During our time with her, she asked us to write checks to [redacted] Lisa B[redacted] and Surface Design Group.
My husband and I read your review. We bought a new home in June of 2016 and our real estate agent recommended Lisa B[redacted] to us. The same thing happened. We ordered furniture in August and paid half of the money. We have yet to receive any furniture items or receive our refund. What attorney or firm did you hire. Thanks, Annie.
