Lisa Rux, License Medical Aesthetician Reviews (%countItem)

I went to an appointment with a aesthetician at the Women's Center in Denton on March 10th to learn more about Botox fillings. From the time I went into her office she was condescending and treated me like she was scolding me. That was my first visit and I was just learning how Botox works. She proceeded to tell me that she could sell me her own peeling cream. I asked how much it was and she said $150. I was not sure what I needed done with my skin needs and told her I could come back some other day. She immediately said that she did not have any other clients so she could inject Botox on my forehead. I asked her how much it was going to be and she said $225. I said ok and she turned around and asked me to sign up for Brilliant Distinctions right there and then. I asked her why? She said I could earn points and that I could get a coupon from there. I thought it was awkward to force me and coerce me to sign up as a member through a website I was not aware of nor did I desire to join. She proceeded to inject the liquid in areas of my forehead. Then I said, 'Are we done'? and she said 'yes now give me your password.? I said what? Why? She said she needed it to give me a $50 discount. I told her that I should be able to get a message from the website she made me sign up for to forward it to her but that I should not give her my password. She said it was the first time somebody would not give her the password. I said the same, nobody has ever asked me to give them my password. Then she said so I will charge you $275. I was totally insulted, offended, taken advantage of right there and then. I walked out of her room and she told the office receptionist to charge me $275. I told the receptionist I would not recommend the services to any of my friends. Needless to say, I had never experienced coercion to sign up to a website and then be asked for the password, and because I did not give her the password the penalty was to be charged $50 more.
Product_Or_Service: Botox fillings

Desired Outcome

Billing Adjustment I would like all my money back, $275 total.

patient came into appointment 15 minutes late and when asked if she brought the filled out paperwork that was emailed to her several days before appt. and she said she didn't have time. She had attitude from the moment she came in late. There are 2 receptionists at our front reception dest and both witnessed her actions. We gave her paperwork, she filled out and I called her back. We sat down to start the consultation. I tried to make her laugh to help her feel comfortable because she was obviously not in a good mood, but seemed like making her happy wasn't going to happen. she wanted to discuss her skin issues which we did and I made suggestions. We then discussed botox and fillers to fix some issues and discussed prices and what her cost would be. I told her that the company that makes botox was offering $50 off if she signed up for their reward program. At first she said I don't want rewards and I said ok but I told her that I cannot give her that offer if she didn't sign up. She finally agreed and I helped her do it on her phone. After she was done I asked for the password she made because I couldn't get the $50 coupon off that has to be paid back to our office in the required 3 days it takes for it to show up in her reward account without the password. I have over 1000 patients and have been a medical aesthetician for over 20 years and have NEVER had a patient refuse to give their password to me. I then had the patient sign a consent form for treatment before continuing.
So, I finished the treatment which was botox in the patients forehead and glabella. I asked again for her password and she blew up and started ranting. I explained to her again that I wasnt asking for her personal passwords just the reward program password as I do with all my patients. She again yelled at me threw her credit card at me and refused. I told her then I cannot give you the $50 discount offer. She said ok and I took her to the front desk where she paid and started ranting and causing a scene in the waiting room in front of patients who were waiting for me and the doctors. The receptionist said she ran into my treatment room looking for me but I wasn't in there so she finally left.
Her request for her money back is not an option since the botox is in her face.

What she is saying is not all accurate. First of all I was on time but did not have the paperwork filled out and she made a face the moment I walked into her office and gave me the paperwork to fill out rolling her eyes. That was my first time in her office and she started scolding me like a little child. For example she said, you are not supposed to clean your face with scrubs because it takes away your oils. The it was the amount of water o drink, she said I was no drinking enough water, then it was spots on my face that she said would come back but that she could sell me for $150 a peeling cream she makes. Then she discussed ways to lift areas of my face without a determined first step. I said I will just make an appointment another day. To that she said, ok we can do your forehead, I said that the person who recommended that I go to her said that it costs $200. To that she said, she should not be saying that. I will charge you 225 but them she said you can get a $50 coupon from Brilliant Distinctions. She actually waited for me to sign up for a company I have no clue about. I entered my personal password because I felt I was under pressure from her. She started the procedure and then she asked for the password. At that point I said, isn't there something I can mail or forward to you and she said no you have to give your password. This is the FIRST TIME someone has ever asked me for my password. I did not want to give her my yahoo account password. I did not think it was right for her to even ask. I wrote it on a piece of paper she had to her insistence and she still kept asking what is this character? At that point I felt harassed, insulted, and taken advantage of and I said, this is the last time I will be here and she said then you have to pay $275. I went to the counter and gave my credit card to the receptionist not to her and was charged the $275. I said I will make sure that my friends know exactly what is happening here. There was only one person in the waiting room and two receptionists. I never went back to her office looking for her. I still feel that she overcharged me and coerced me to sign up for a website I was not familiar with plus asked me for my personal password which is completely inappropriate.

The 2 receptionists can validate that this patient was 15 minutes late and her terrible attitude and the dramatic actions in our office. This appointment was strictly for botox which should have been a 30 minute treatment with consultation but I took more time with her because she had so many questions in regards to her skin and issues she was having so I explained different things that would help her situation. My job is to educate my patients in the best to my ability but when a patient comes in with so much arrogance it makes my job so much harder. When it finally came to the botox she explained where she would like it. I gave her the price of $275 for the areas she wanted done. I told her that I could give her $50 off if she would like to sign up for a reward program that the company that makes Botox which is Allergan, a very well known company worldwide has. First she said no she didn't want to and I explained that was fine I just couldn't give her the $50 off, so she finally did it and I helped her do it on her phone. I asked her 3 times for the password she made up for this reward program as explained before. If she used a password she uses for her other accounts that was no concern of mine. I told her after she declined to give to me that she could change it and I would wait. I also explained that for the past 12 years that Allergan has offered this and my over 1000 patients that have used it , NOT ONE HAS EVER DECLINED GIVING IT TO ME . I have to have it to get the rewards off to repay the office I work with . It totally benefits the patient and I take care of my patients. If the patient wants to return the product that is in her face then I will give her money back. This is an impossible feat btw. she took 1 1/2 hours of my time which is 1 hour longer than needed for the appointment that could have been used for a patient that appreciated my knowledge.

It amazes me that a professional would ask for the product back already on my forehead. That says a lot about who she is. At this point I want the extra $50 she charged me. She told me it was going to be $225. Then she jumped to $275 coercing me to sign up for a website I did not know. Then turned around to ask for MY personal password. There is something very wrong with that picture. It is my hope that no new client will experience what I endured with that lady. It was and it is totally inappropriate. There most be a better way to give a coupon to a client without making them feel overcharged and coerced.
