I started out getting a hold of Lithia Chrysler Jeep Dodge superstore of Medford OR, to talk to a sales person regarding A RAM The sales person I talk to his name was Brandon, I was told that the diesel trucks had a lifetime powertrain warranty and lifetime oil change warrantee and the truck came with features that I later found out never came on itSo after I found out everything on that particular truck and found out what came with it and what didn't I contacted him back and confronted him on what he told meHe told me that he was mistaken and that lifetime powertrain warranty did not come with diesel trucks So I let that go, but later on when I started getting more serious on buying this truck I asked him on some more features that the truck had that he told me the truck did have Then towards the end of our conversation he told me that the truck came with the engine block heater but I would have to pay $for the engine block heater cord to plug into an extension cord in the wintertimeAnd I told the sales person that that is not what you told me he kind of seemed to go back on his wordsSo because of the truck that I was looking at had everything that I wanted for 58, I was like whatever I will talk to you more when I come inI live approximately miles in One Direction from that dealership, I asked Brandon my sales person if he can hold the truck until Monday when I get off of work and I will give him a deposit on it after I test drive it and talk to you some more in person My sales representative Brandon told me no problem I will hold that vehicle for you until you come in Monday afternoon or evening before we close so you can test drive the vehicle and do the deposit, because I wanted my wife to see it before I finalized everythingSo Monday when I get off work I text Brandon my sales representative to let him know I will be there in approximately to minutesHe replied back saying the vehicle has been sold and that really ticked me off so I called the store manager general manager of sales did not get a reply back
And here goes my second experience with Lithia Chrysler jeep of Medford OregonI got a hold of their Internet sales manager David S***, which seemed apologetic and understanding of my frustrating situation with his sales person BrandonI told him that the biggest reason why I wanted to put down a deposit on that truck was because I was waiting for my house to close escrow any day now so I can finance the truckAnd of course so my wife can look at it before I buy a vehicle any husband will know you buy a $60,truck without her looking at it you will be sleeping in the truck and may not have a wife anymoreAnd I forgot to mention I got a hold of David about two weeks after this situation with Brandon the sales person I was dealing with in the beginningAnd because of that my wife and I have been looking nonstop during those two weeksWe found different style trucks that we would rather have instead of that particular truckSo I told David the Internet sales manager what truck my wife and I were looking at and colorsI told him our credit score and that we have to wait until our house closes escrow before we can finance a truck, and I told him that the house should be closing escrow any day now So David sent one of his employees down to Coosbay Oregon to get a truck because it had everything I wanted on it and brought it backBut when I looked at the truck it did not have the sports appearance package that I informed him that we likedAnd I called him back and told him that my wife does not like all the chrome on that truck she wants the same color bumpers as the truckSo he looked again, found a truck in central California and send a driver down to get it and bring it backI saw pictures of this truck and show them to my wife and she liked itSo I told David that this truck does not have a bedliner like we originally wanted he said I will take care of thatI made a appointment to come look at the truck and start the financing process, remind you at the beginning of this I told him or credit scores and he informed me that that will be no problemHe told me he is the Internet sales manager and he can guarantee me 2.99% interest rate for months so I agreedThis is my first brand-new car buying experience and I wanted a truck that will last me for a very long timeSo when I want him to look at The truck he told me earlier that week that I can start the financing and take the truck so my wife can physically look at it and drive itSo he started the financing process I got in the truck and David told me it would have a full tank of fuel the truck had less then 1/of a tank of fuelSo I just let that go and was going to take care of that issue when we came back on Saturday with my wife to sign papers for the truckHe gave me a truck borrowing agreement paperwork to sign I did thatBut I got a phone call approximately two hours later saying that our credit scores are great but our length of credit is not we will need a cosignerI told him that I don't know if I would be able to get a cosigner, I did talk to my mom and my wife and die along with her decided it would be better to wait and do it on our own and get something cheaper so the agreement was for my wife and I to come in Saturday to do the finance paperwork on the truckBut when I knew that I would not be able to get this truck I took it back a day early and let them know I did not have a cosignerDavid was not there I talked to a team member of his which wasn't very happy that I did not get a cosignerI asked him if I can get proof that I brought back the truck in the same condition it left and he took the paper from me and what looked like the original copy of the loaner agreement paperwork and ripped it up in front of me And you can totally see the frustration on his face when I told him that I wasn't going to be able to buy this vehicle because I did not have a cosignerAnd he asked me again so you couldn't ask anybody in your family to cosign for this truck, I said noSo instead of me getting proof that I brought back the vehicle in the same condition so I can keep the paperwork for my records he ripped up my copy and what look like to be the original copy I did not look at it or did not have a chance to see it and rip them both up in front of meAnd his team member told me now there is nothing showing that you were in that truck
So when I got home I sent David an email telling him my frustrations on what happen when I came inAnd what happened with his coworker and I am formed him that it was unprofessional and rude and not very good business practice to rip up a customers copy of an agreement between myself and the dealership He sounded frustrated that I came in when my scheduled time to come in was the next dayI informed David that I had no reason to keep the truck any longer because I did not have a cosigner for the truckSo you guys can sell that truck sooner and faster And he replied back saying that I have been nothing but nice and working really hard to find you and your wife a truck that you both likeI told him yes but your whole team needs to be honest and respectful and great customer skills not just you which makes me think it was all an act just for me And he also replied back stating that the dealership spent a lot of money in was quite a big expense to bring those vehicles to Medford Oregon and us not be able to get a cosignerAnd I replied back saying that I was upfront and honest with you on our credit scores you said that will not be a problem so that's why we proceededThis whole experience was not my fault it was your fault you should've ran my credit you do this for a living and it was your fault for bringing those two vehicles to Medford without knowing for a fact that I will be able to finance those vehicles
Overall I think Lithia dealerships and especially Lithia Chrysler Jeep of Medford OregonTheir sales people are trained to lie and say things that are not true for people to buy a vehicle they will do whatever it takes to get a customer to believe them I think the customer service skills are very terrible their employees are extremely rude and you cannot believe a single thing they tell youI would highly recommend that nobody should believe anything anybody tells you at a Lithia dealership in my experience in this whole thing I only mentioned a little bit not every single bit it is so much more in depth that I cannot even begin I can write a book on itSo if you ever think about buying a vehicle at Lithia I would highly recommend you go somewhere else do not waste your time because you cannot believe what anybody tells you thereMy whole frustration with Lithia Medford they could give me A $60,truck and I would tell them to keep it I will never go back

Let me start with saying I am a full time student, Husband and father of two young childrenThat being said we struggle to make ends meet, we depend on coupons, sales and occasionally help from family membersOur only vehicle a Ford Edge has 245,miles on it and a check engine light on more then it is offThrough odd jobs and student loans we were able to save enough for a down payment for a new car something we were pretty proud to have accomplishedMy wife being the savvy shopper she is found a really good deal on a Jeep Compass used with only miles on it! She called the dealer Lithia Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat here in Medford Oregon and was put on the phone with A internet sales representative Howard F., my wife asked him if the price was right Howard says it was and he was and that she wouldn't find another deal like it anywhere else, my wife then asked it had been in an accident or something and Howard told her no but he would find out the story on it and call backHoward called my wife back about minutes later with the scoop, another salesman sold it to a lady and told her she could straight tow it behind there RV something that would have been a deal breaker so when she got home and her husband discovered it would not tow behind the RV they brought it back in and traded for a vehicle that would fill there needsMy wife told Howard that we would pick the kids up from school and be right downWhen we got to the dealership Howard had the vehicle pulled up front along side another model just in case we where not okay with it being a manual transmissionWe declined the other because we both can drive a manual and the manual was in our price range we were offered a test drive and declined we wanted to be sure the finances went through our credit is not all that greatHoward agreed but assured us with our down payment he could guarantee we would be financedwe drew up the paperwork and left to find our tax transcripts for bank that would approve a loan with transcriptsWhile looking through old paperwork Howard called again he said they found a bank that would not need the tax transcripts get down right awayThis was about 6:00pm we got down there and Howard has me sign some papers a break down of were the money would be goingI asked him about the price he said that was after license tax and fees the service contract fee was to my understanding part of the online price "just a breakdown" we were rushed to sign I had to leave town in the morning and they wanted to go homeWhen I got back home on Monday I looked over the paperwork and noticed A $optional service agreement, you know one of those that they usually ask you if you want them and tell you what they were aboutThat's when I noticed the price difference of the online price to the tune of $2250! So I called Howard and Howard told me I would have to speak with Robert Fthe finance manager it was all his doingsSo I speak with Robert he tells me he added the optional service contract to offset there loss and he would not be taking it off! He tells me to find my tax transcripts and come downI go to the IRS and they are closed for several days due to a change in how they are operatingI head down to Lithia and speak with Robert and Howard and to my surprise no one remembered the vehicle being at the online price and said that the original posting could not be recovered but we were out of our minds they would not sell a car that cheap and take a lossI told Robert that service contract was optional he needed to take it off he said the service contract would not be taken off I keep the service contract or forfeit the carI asked to talk to a Manager he said the manager was out on vacationI took Robert Fcard and Howard Fcard and told them I would be backI then called corporate and left messagesI was called back the next day by Janet Mfrom corporate who sent me a form to cancel the service contract she said that he could not force me ouyt of a car for a optional contract and that she would contact the general sales managerToday is Friday the day the General Sales Manager was to return, Robert calls me and said the GSM said he was going to back him they wouldn't sell the car at that Price but they would let us out of our contract and return the carI told him I would be down there to speak with the GSM he said okay
Robert calls back moments later and says hey just bring your taxes down if we can get you a better rate we may be able to drop the price of the carNeedless to say we have been trying to general sales manager and of coarse he is too busy

Roughly a year ago I had my vehicle worked on by Lithia Dodge I took the vehicle, a Dodge Durango in at the end of May It was found that the engine needed to be replaced They were extremely busy and said it would be 1-weeks before it could be worked on since the initial diagnosis was that the engine needed to be replaced It was much longer than that It was late June and still not done I was not in dire need, so I let it go, all while making several follow up calls in frustration that it was not done Then an opportunity for a job came up where I would be moving across country to relocate for work I informed them in early to mid July that I would require the car to be done by the 1st of August I put off moving three times because the vehicle was still not ready I ended up having to move without the vehicle in the second week of August I was finally able to travel back for the vehicle from where it was being stored (having been forced to leave without it) Th

We bought a used Ram truck on April 13, After months we still do not have a registration and are now being told that the bank with the loan does not have any paper work and they need to have us sign new papersWe have been getting statements and making payments every monthThis is getting very stressful for my husband who suffers hypertensionThey told us in June that they didn't even have a pink slip for the truck and that was the reason we have no resignationI want this finished before my husband has a major stroke worrying over this

I would not recommend this dealership to anyoneWe attempted to help a family member who was buying a new vehicleShe needed to put a deposit down and we agreed to help with that The dealership was provided a postdated checkTwo days later the deal did not go through and the vehicle was returned to the dealershipOur check was voided and returned to usAll seemed fineWell unbeknownst to us the dealership did not CANCEL the EFT for the check and a pretty hefty amount (over $3,000) was pending in our account, resulting in the possibility of MAJOR overdraft fees as well as causing our rent check to bounceMind you this was almost a month later after the vehicle was returnedHow does this even happen?? The dealership did not take ownership of their error and were not at all understanding of the seriousness of the situationIn the end we were able to get the bank to STOP the check from being processed and luckily avoided a huge catastropheNo one could tell us WHY this happenedWe also spent a huge chunk of our day on the phone with the bank as the dealership was wanting "proof" from the bank of pending charges Long story short if you put a deposit down, they will try to cash it even when they are no longer authorized to do soIn the end they did not care about how we felt or our concernsThis was one of my worst car experience stories to date and I have had a few

The shade tree mechanic that worked on my fiat I got it back in worse shape than I took it in needed a timing belt no biggy I wanted it done rite but, bolt was stripped out missing parts muffler rubbers off leaking oil out of rear camshaft cover and broken cv boot that was my fault told them about I would have noticed broke boot they said I'm entitled to my opinion

And we said no and he was like ok went back and crunched numbers and was like lowest we can do is We thought about it and said yesAnd then he went on talking about a year warranty and that they would line x our jeep and fix any paintless dent for freeSo we were like cool were getting a good dealSo we signed papers bought the jeepThen later I noticed the the warranty cost dollarsFunny thing is, is the warranty won't even be used until the manufacturer warranty expires in yearsI was mad knowing we could have got payments down to a monthYes dollars makes a difference when you have kids to celebrate birthdays and holidays withI feel like they played us and becus we already had signed the paper our payment will stay the same even if we cancel the warrantyOur loan will just be shorterAnd also as soon as we got home we noticed a dent in the doorWe drove straight homeThere's no way it happened is our possessionLearned our lesson just becus it brand new doesn't mean it's perfectAnd also don't go there with kids becus they'll see you're eager to make and deal and they talk fast make you feel good and then milk more money out of youWe love our jeep but the issues we have with the dealership will never be forgottenLesson learned fast talkers take advantageDon't forget our salesman was awesome though
