Drove from victor my to Lithia dodge. Tried to buy a car. Price not negotiated satisfactorily. Received email stating car price dropped because I signed up for price alert. Email said it was sent to one other person. When I called the dealer was told no one heard of email like that then got email from sales manager saying price of car is the same must be a glitch and could I forward him copy of email and it's my fault I didn't get car cause we couldn't reach agreement. Sending out FALSE PRICING emails seems unethical and then ignoring the email and blaming me for not reaching deal. BUYER BEWARE!

Review: I purchased a 2005 [redacted] from Lithia in Missoula, MT in November 2011. I wanted to obtain a vehicle loan in order to raise my credit score. When purchasing the vehicle I was assured by the sales person that my loan through Lithia would be reported to the credit bureaus. I agreed to a very high interest rate and financed the vehicle at 19.99% interest.I became aware that my loan was not being reported and contacted Lithia in May 2012. I did not receive any response. I contacted them again in August 2012 and received the following response: "The reason your loan has not been reported to the credit bureaus is due to their own internal policies. For a lending entity to have the ability to report your loan standings, that lending entity must have in excess of 500 consumer accounts in their portfolio. When you originally purchased your vehicle, LFC was in its infancy and thus did not have the necessary portfolio size to report. As of this time, LFC is nearing the required portfolio size and is expected to be reporting all consumer accounts to the credit bureaus by the end of the year. Your entire payment history from loan inception will be reported at that time." At the beginning of 2013 [redacted] became [redacted] and my loan was still not being reported. I contacted them in February 2013 and received the following response: "As you noted, [redacted] transitioned to [redacted] Finance Corporation and was partially in response to reaching a customer base in excess of 500 accounts. As was stated to you, we began the credit reporting process with [redacted] upon attaining their required 500 account minimum. [redacted] is currently in the review process which can take anywhere from 90-120 days before they actually will begin to report your account history with [redacted]. Once the reporting begins the information listed will be retroactive, so all payment back to your first with [redacted] will display on your credit report".It has been 22 months since I have opened the account and purchased the vehicle. My loan has never been reported and will be paid off this November. I am extremely unhappy that I was provided incorrect information by sales and account representatives, which I based my purchase and financing decisions on and that Lithia/[redacted] has strung me along for almost 2 years. I find that unacceptable and a very poor way to conduct business.Desired Settlement: I would like the amount I have paid in interest over the last 22 months to be refunded to me or I would like my loan and payment history to be IMMEDIATELY reported to the credit bureaus.

I have personally contacted this customer and have fully investigated the concern. The customer was correct with the fact that [redacted] (now [redacted]) did not report at the time of purchse. However, since then, all loans with [redacted] are reported all the way back to the time of inception. They only report to [redacted] which is the most commonly used credit bureau in our area. The customer will be checking to make sure that the loan is in fact reporting properly so that she is gaining credit from making the loan payments. The customer also mentioned a couple other concerns with [redacted] and I have told her that I am working on them at this time. After speaking with the customer, I feel the primary issue reported to the Revdex.com has been taken care of.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. I have yet to check that the loan is correctly reporting to [redacted]. If it is then I will be satisfied. I wish it had been reporting real-time for the last 24 months, as I was sold the car under the impression that was what would happen, but I am mostly satisfied.
